I have been doing the same thing on an 1845, sure learned a lot of what not to do. I suggest anyone attempting to do this is the following: remove the bucket if possible, all 4 wheels, boom up and secure, remove lower side panels for easier access to some parts. I will leave them off for a while to check for leaks etc. the fellow suggested the colored snap ties, great idea.

Another great video! Mic working good. And damn I'm jealous you got the auxiliary hydro option, I'm gonna have to look into a conversion so I can use my grapple bucket. I had to "rebuild" my roosa master (stanadyne) pump once there pretty simple, seal kit and govern plate upgrade from the plastic ones

@johohojo8548 Thanks again 😊. I got lucky finding one with the aux hydraulics, I don't see many with it. I have a feeling a pump rebuild is in my near future, good to know that they're pretty simple 😉

My 1845 is leaking out of lever control shaft is there not an external seal on them? Wondering if had to pull the pump to fix? Thanks and great machines love em, tough as nails
@DurtyMaxDee4 ай бұрын
@johohojo8548 The seal is kind of external in so far as you don't have to remove the pump. Messicks is a good source for schematics on these machines (link below ⬇️⬇️) 1845 www.messicks.com/cas/140810 You're right. These machines are tough. 😎

Greetings! My 1845 does not have the hydraulic connections in the cab to the right of and below the right hand control. Is that the auxiliary hydraulic?
@DurtyMaxDee7 ай бұрын
Yes, I do believe it is. Mine also has aux hydraulic circuit on the leftside boom that most of these machines don't have, does yours have it also?
@Kettenhund757 ай бұрын
@@DurtyMaxDee No sir - no aux connections on the boom either. I know aux hydraulics was an option on these machines. I wonder what is different between my machine and yours - and if I could fab up my own kit? If you ever get more time to make videos on your machine, that would be a cool one - going over your aux hydro setup. How is it actuated?

@Kettenhund75 I can do that, been super busy lately 😉

Sounds like your drive chains are loose. If they are and have been for a while, you may also have worn chain sprockets. I'm not too familiar with that particular machine, but I did find this posting of some guy totally restoring one. Check the link below, there may be some information there you could use. I hope this helps... www.skidsteerforum.com/threads/1970s-ford-340-rebuild.117906/

What country are you in? I would like to help you with your 40xt but your message is not communicating clearly. My hope is that this video has helped you with repairs needed to your machine. If there is a question you might have I will do my best to answer it.

where is the fuel solinoid located on a 1845 b?
@DurtyMaxDee Жыл бұрын
IIRC, the 1845B diesel (188D Case engine), is the same as the 1845, which does not have an electric fuel shut-off solenoid, only a manual shut-off. The ones that do have a solenoid are the 1840 1845C 75XT 85XT 90XT 95XT, which is the same solenoid in each model (Cummins engine). In any event, the solenoid is mounted on the side of the injection pump on for those models. Here's a complete parts breakdown for the 1845B www.messicks.com/commoncatalog?vendor=CAS&modelId=140781&search=. Thanks for the video! I have a 1845 too getting ready to change to hydraulic fluid. I drained the tank but don't know of any other drains or how to flush. Do u have any videos on that?
@DurtyMaxDee2 жыл бұрын
As far as I know, there's only one drain. When I refilled the tank to check for more leaks, I cycled all the controls multiple times and found 2 more minor leaks. Of course, I had to drain the tank again 😒. What I noticed when draining the tank a second time (the machine sat for a couple of days before this) was that the first gallon or so was quite nasty and dark, then cleared up like new oil. After the dark stuff was done coming out, I put the plug back in and got another clean bucket to catch all the clean oil. Fixed the 2 new leaks and reused the clean oil that came out and just added to it to top it off. That's how I "flushed" the system. I think letting it sit for a couple of days helped settle all the dark/dirty oil to the bottom of the tank. Hope this helps 🙏 👍.

@DurtyMaxDee11 ай бұрын
El mío también tendrá dificultades para arrancar cuando hace frío. Un pequeño chorro de éter en la entrada de aire ayuda mucho. Tenga cuidado de no rociar demasiado ya que podría hidrobloquear el motor.
