Ngl, this song really bleeds together with my post-9/11 experience as a child. I was 10 when i watched the towers fall on the news. And then it just seems like dominos of going to war in Afghanistan, then iraq, & just SO much happened at once. I was so young and i just had no idea how to take it all in or process it. Some days it really did feel world ending. And it seems like nothing has been normal since and my whole life and the life of my generation and the next has just been one horrible event after another. I used to ride my bike around an empty cul-de-sac in my neighborhood and just sing this song quietly to myself and cry. It still kinda makes me tear up because of those associations.

Wow...my sons were 6 & 7, not old enough for a rememberal reference to the world before; 10 is definitely old enough to see and process the change. As adults, I was 32, our innocence was stripped away. But I never thought about the "big little ones" grieving. Heartbreaking.

There's a saying - "never compare the inside of yourself with the outside of someone else." That's a recipe for failure. And so many do this without even realising it. If people could just realise we will never know the inside of someone until we take the time to get to know them, instead of making snap judgements based on the outside. That goes for people of all races.

They have a song on the same album called "third eye" on the same album they made "where is the love". Take control of your mind and meditate let ur soul gravitate to the love. The kingdom is within. they were trying to spread spiritual enlightenment spreading love...the world isn't going to change until we heal from the inside out and get to the root...

We can be both the human race and also celebrate our differences in skin color, culture, food, music etc. ( ie: the opposite of being “colorblind”) It’s okay to notice ppl are black, white, Latino/Latina, Asian, and so on and celebrate the diversity. *To clarify, to celebrate diversity means to understand that black lives and ppl of color in general MATTER, too. The argument of being “Colorblind” is awful. Why would we need to be blind to someone’s beautiful color?

@@MA-zg2pz Absolutely! Right now, people are trying to create racism where it doesn't exist. All of this BLM, "white privilege", and critical race theory BS needs to stop. People seem too blind to see that these things create separation instead of unity. These movements focus on the color of one's skin instead of the content of their character. The best way to end racism and division is to STOP focusing on skin color, just as Martin Luther King, Jr said we should do. Will there still be a minority of people who are racist? Yes, but they will be judged by their character and they will be the outcasts in society. Just love everyone. Stop focusing on skin color and, instead, celebrate the diversity.

That song says it all. We are all people. Blood. Lungs. Heart. Skin. Breath, we all need to breathe. People need to pull their heads out and get over this shit. We live in a time where compassion has died. It's sad.

You guys are precious! I've always loved this song and I love your reactions to it. I'm 68, and I was raised on music. It makes me happy to see younger people being open to, and exploring, all music genres. So many songs I want to suggest to you... Sending peace and love to you and your families from the Oregon coast.

"Judge by the heart and mind." - Yes, please. I discovered you this last weekend, subscribed immediately, and watched hours of your posts. Even though I am a 49-year-old white woman from the West Coast, I feel like we are kindred spirits. Music of all genres and ages sings to me in the same way it sings to you. I love watching your reactions because it reminds me of what I feel when I hear something fabulous for the very first time. I have so many songs and artists I want to share with you. I'm including recommendations, both as songs to feature and songs you should simply listen to - some are classics and others are newer artists/songs that I think you might enjoy. Pat Benetar - Heartbreaker (my #1 suggestion for you), Amy Winehouse - Back to Black, Joan Jett - Bad Reputation or I Love Rock 'N Roll, Leon Bridges - Bad Bad News or That Was Yesterday, Anderson East - All on My Mind or Girlfriend, Beach Boys - California Girls or Good Vibrations, Larkin Poe - Good and Gone or Wanted Woman, Beastie Boys - She's Crafty or Fight for Your Right, Oingo Boingo - Dead Man's Party, The Black Crowes - Hard to Handle, No Doubt - Just a Girl or Don't Speak, Dan Fogelberg - Leader of the Band, Decembrists - Down by the Water, Mumford and Sons - Little Lion Man or I Will Wait, Tom Petty - American Girl or Free Fallin', The Eagles - Hotel California, Dixie Chicks - Traveling Soldier, Florence and the Machine - Sky Full of Song or Shake it Out, Of Monsters and Men - Winter Sound or Little Talks, Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop or By the Way, George Michael - Freedom, Janis Joplin - Me and Bobby McGee or Piece of My Heart. This is a beginning at least. Thank you for making the world a little brighter.

I love how you guys work together, been a fan since 600+ subs and Tim, there’s not one video of yours I don’t watch! Fact! Stay smart, both of you and always keep it real! You’re a lot more than just 2 young men and let me be the one to say that... in our current times fighting racism, hatred, discrimination and inequality, my heart is with y’all. Not only is Black beautiful, but all humanity is beautiful despite our shortcoming and I speak for myself as well as a human being! This is coming from someone of European origin; I’m Spanish, born and raised in Spain and it pains me that oftentimes, my people or others around me are seen as the most racist of all cultures. I’m here to let y’all know I’m not one of those people. Color and shades are beautiful, Black is beautiful once again and it makes me feel good to see 2 young men like yourselves make it! You’re gonna go far, just watch! Cheers and salute from Chicago to Gary, Indiana! 🔥💪🏻❤️
