That's the thing that kind of gets lost in the history of Hip Hop... there were so many people responsible for bringing it to the mainstream and perpetuating the sound...paving the way for others. That 85-95 span is pure gold... Run DMC, Beastie Boys, NWA, Public Enemy, Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, Cypress Hill... Tribe... even Rage... and I know I'm missing a ton of others....
