I took some e-foil lessons this summer on the Outer Banks. Fairly easy to learn and so much fun! Outer Banks Kiting will take you out on them if you’re ever on the OBX.

30 years ago I heard of an aluminum triangular foil which attached to a set of double water skis, it was a prototype but I talked the guy into selling it to me. We went to Nacimiento lake and after much trial and error we were able to get up on it and ride about 2’ above the water! A few months later the inventor happened to be at the same lake so he said he would show us how easy it was! It wasn’t easy for even him and he he discovered that we had put the water foil on the base backwards!! Changed it around and after doing it the wrong way, it was then super easy! Of course we were pulled behind a boat and not very fast as the thing could fly up out of the water if you weren’t adjusting the foil with every ripple of water! Still a great fun device and I still have it!! Love seeing their dog cruising along ever so comfortable on this device!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
