It was the 80s. Innovative music was normal. Goth, rock, rap, acapella, musical, groundbreaking, record breaking was the norm. So few artists could follow what the 80s could do. Fashion and music were so intertwined that it took grunge to break it up. It was an amazing time.

@@starry2006 UK banned it too, dude. The bigger point is artists today just don’t push the envelope in a provocative way like this now. Today they just hitch onto party approved social messages that really do nothing but sow division. Simply showing it as Frankie or Culture Club did does far more to unify and create understanding than cancel culture ever will.

This is one of those songs I'd never seen the video for, I'd only ever heard it at the club or on the radio, but oh my gay gawd I knew exactly what to expect when I saw the dude standing there at the beginning. The word for today is "raunchy" 😄

This is definitely the X rated, and underground video of this song, which I think was banned in quite a few countries......Also, I think you almost had to live and dance in that era, to fully understand it's meaning :) ***GREAT TIMES*** I never took it literally, just liked dancing to it!!!

I've been waiting a long time to see someone react to Frankie, so thank you for being the first I've seen. Their song "Two Tribes" was written near the end of the Cold War and features an awesome cage match between Ronald Reagan and Michael Gorbachev. And their lesser known hit was the beautiful song, "The Power Of Love", set against a Christmas story scene. You should definitely give them a try!!

@@LaptopLarry330 You may be right, but I was most certainly wrong, relying on my failing memory from so long ago! According to the song facts I was able to find they claim it was actually Konstantin Chernenko, but in any case it was most certainly NOT Gorbachev, and i thank you for the correction! :-)

@@keymack2477 Yes, it was Konstantin Chernenko, There were a number of men who led the Soviet Union between Brezhnev and Gorbachev. So much time has passed, it is easy, at least for me, to get them confused.

Wait till she stumbles on our Punk Rock scene in the 1970s. Probably pass out when she see's the Mohican's, safety pins through noses and chains dangling from ripped jeans. And can't wait too see her face when she watches the 'Sex Pistols' with our brilliant Johnny Rotten. Girl you are in for a treat lol

Then a "live stage' (not real) video with chicks storming the stage and a also kinky 'body double' version ...
