@@kenqb5450 i found a live 157 Riverside Avenue that runs 10 minutes, including a bass solo from Bruce Hall. Sheer beauty. Of course, what's fun about 157 Riverside Avenue is that you get to compare all three singers. There's video of Terry Luttrell (vocals, 1st album) and of Mike Murphy (vocals, albums 3-5) out there, as well as Cronin (2nd album, then albums 6 and on, after the record company insisted the band re-hire him). So you get a nice mix.

This was a very iconic song for hubby's and my relationship. We had been acquaintances for many years, both had been married and divorced, I actually babysat his kids for a little while!! Fast forward to mid-summer of 1997... we reconnected after no contact for two whole years!! THAT started a great friendship, we saw each other almost daily starting at the end August. Long story short... he took a big risk on November 5, 1997!! As I was leaving from our evening of watching E.R. or whatever was on that night, he literally grabbed my hand, pulled me back in his apartment, pushed me (GENTLY) against the door and proceeded to kiss me!! It was what we both had wanted to do but we were each thinking the other only wanted to be friends. We just celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary at the end of August. 💜💜💜 It was this song playing on the radio just before we met that evening that prompted him... then he felt that I was hesitant to leave like I wanted to say something. That kiss was the most pleasant surprise ever!! We both knew we should be together, but prior heartaches almost stopped us... so glad he faced his fear!! GREAT reaction, by the way!!!

REO Speedwagon and Air Supply were 2 of my favorites in the 70's. People have become so cynical now that we're losing what true romance is. My dad was a romantic. On their first date my dad (stepdad) took my mom, us 2 girls and our babysitter/family friend out to have a fun day then took mom out for dinner alone on their 2nd date. To her and us that was romantic as well as respectful because it was his idea and showed he was serious about mom. To the day he died he sent her roses and some kind of present on the anniversary of that first date, the day they got engaged, their wedding anniversary, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day and her birthday. The women in her office were so jealous of that and always told her how lucky she was. He died 4 months after their 41st wedding anniversary.
