We watch part of their origin story from when they were on the television show Sing Off.
Please watch the original video here: • 1st Performance - Home...
Want to ensure I watch your favorite artist or just want to tip this guy in Alabama? Maybe I won't have to work so many 12 hour shifts! But this is not needed only if you feel compelled to do so: / mrincrediible

Yes! I'd like to see you watch them all on the Sing-Off. Rob's podcast is called "The Avid Indoorsmen" where he and his buddy since college days talk about movies. Home Free was started by Chris and Adam Rupp in Minnesota when they were in college and at first, they did not consider themselves a country group they did a bit of everything until several changes of members happened and Tim (from Texas)and Austin (from Georgia) came into the group.

Yes! I highly recommend doing the series! You will learn so much about them. Their backstory, their voices will become so much more familiar to you like second nature, and you will see their personalities much more. It's a very good thing to see in the beginning of your journey with Home Free. It gives you a great foundation to build upon! I'm so glad that you are a Home Fry, it's really enjoyable to see your progression and watch your love for them grow! BTW you have all the background info on them correct. Yes, lots of us ladies really love Tim and the main lady who holds him the deepest and closest to her heart is his talented and extremely beautiful wife Jenika Marion! He has shaken ceiling tiles loose at concerts and blown out speakers too. There is a video on KZbin of him doing it "TIM BLOWS OUT THE SPEAKERS Live in Concert" I will be seeing them for the first time in 27 days and I've been told by many that I will definitely be feeling the bass in my butt! Yep, I am certainly looking forward to it! You probably would enjoy seeing some of their performances in live concerts on KZbin where you can often see Tim's bass notes make the audience guests cell phones shake/vibrate and the lighting systems flicker, shake and vibrate. Even Austin is in a video at a concert one night and he wondered how it would feel so he sits on the front of a speaker and asks Tim to hit a below the basement low note for him and Tim graciously obliged!!! Austin's jaw nearly hit the floor and it took a little effort for him to find his legs after that! Check out a couple of live in concert videos of " Your Man ! " " 9-5 " " Tim Foust Live Vibrations " " 22 TIMES TIM FOUST WENT SUB-WOOFER " " MISTY MOUNTAINS " Peter Hollens featuring Tim Foust! If you look closely at the very end you can notice something special and very rare for most singers! Thank you so much for your reaction!

I have been to 6 of their concerts and going again in December and yes, Tim not only makes your chair vibrate , but your whole body vibrates. The first time you feel it you are shocked. It's always easy to tell who are newbies at the concerts by their reaction. The concerts are selling out faster than I have ever seen in the past years.

Ben said “ that sounds like a record “. That’s exactly why I love Home Free. I finally listened to them 3 or 4 years ago after dismissing them for a while. I saw “Man of Constant Sorrow “(had to watch it multiple times as I couldn’t believe what I was hearing). That was it, instant Home Fry. After watching a few more videos I found the Sing Off. It’s fun watching reactors because it reminds me of my own first reactions. I’ve watched other a cappella groups and I don’t care for them. I like the HF Vocal Band that approaches their craft to make it “sound like a record “. I don’t want vocal tricks. Plus, HF makes me feel. The chords they strike in their harmonies…I swear I feel them at a cellular level. They know how to use the frequencies.

Low voices usually have the tendency to "disappear" into the background with multiple singers, it's the high voices that get your attention easily. But there is no way you can miss Tim's voice, you can literally "feel" it. Even for a true bass his voice is one in a million. Freakish is a really good word to describe it, especially when you consider that he can easily go up to a tenor. I read somewhere that he was actually trained as a tenor as his voice dropped rather late.

Funny thing is that you really feel the bass in the butt, in the chest and I've even seen the air vibrate in from of me. And not only because of Tim's bass, but also because of Adam's bass beat drops and Chance's bass. Yes, that's Chris. He's not only one of the founding members, but the one who had the idea to form an acapella group in the first place, and it was his drive that kept them going. He wasn't alone or, of course, but we most definitely would not have Home Free's wonderful music today if it wasn't for Chris Rupp. Adam Rupp, aka Mr Drum Kit, is his brother and he's also a founding member and the only original member still with the band. I love the Sing-Off journey so I'd love for you to react to them all, to preferably in order. Thanks for the reaction! 🥰🙏

Most of the groups who competed on this show were collegiate acapella groups, formed by a mix of current students and alumni. A few were groups that had formed specifically for the show, but the really successful ones tended to be groups that had performed together previously and could put together a song and choreographed performance in under a week. Pentatonix was one of the few who had added members right before the show and went on to win the season before Home Free.

Love Home Free. Funny you should say "you don't just grab a couple singers together and win a competition." That's exactly what Pentatonix did the year before Home Free. Scott, Mitch, and Kirstie essentially grabbed Kevin and Avi a couple days before and won the championship in 2011.😊

Oh it’s fun to see them sing on the Sing Off. Funny, i saw Pentatonix on the Sing Off and for some reason didn’t see Home Free on the show. I think the show was off a year in between and I didn’t know they were back on so I missed them but have since seen them sing on here when I discovered them last year. They sound so good live and by the way, I just saw them live in Denver and was on the mezzanine level and thought I wouldn’t hear Tim too well. Boy was I mistaken. I think theaters have become aware of Tim. He blew us away with his deep sound. It goes through you even up in the mezzanine level. You might want better headphones to hear some of his great bass. You might enjoy seeing them on the show. It shows their good humor and how the judges feel and the audience too. We’ll be watching if you want to. Good reaction.

actually Pentatonix did exactly that.....the core 3 went to school with each other, then they were introduced to AVI and they found Kevin online doing a celloboxing video. Shortly after they were together (like a week I think) they were on The Sing Off. I have seen HF live, I was basically half way back and to the left....he hit a note so low my pant legs were shaking....amazing.

I'm going to see them in concert for the first time in Feb 2022; because of the Covid situation, their concert has been postponed 3 times in Greensboro, NC! But, I have chatted with or seen comments that Tim has the reputation of blowing out/damaging sub-woofers. I know personally from my middle-of-road headphones, that some of Tim's notes have hurt my chest (no, I won't turn the volume down ;) so I can't wait to hear them live.
