This is an old song, written in the early 1900’s. It was used in the movie Brother Where Art Thou, sung by someone else. I believe this style music is considered “folk”, at least that’s what I read in a comment under another reactor. Welcome to the Home Fries!

David had the flu and a temperature of 102 during this performance. To sing so well while sick and sitting down speaks to the power of this man!

I’m a 35 year old metal guy and first time I heard it, I was stunned. I heard the Slavic bazaar version and it entranced me. I haven’t listened to anything else in 3 weeks since finding him. His voice, the music…it’s overwhelming. I haven’t been moved by music like this in years.

David sings this song to my soul. It hit me so hard I couldn't stop crying and I grew up with Simon and Garfunkel. And yes always loved the song. But they blew me away in this day and age. Yes extremely powerful !!! Loved this

There’s an official video of this that combines videos and photos of all his awards and gold records and concerts plus photos of him with Elvis, Stevie Wonder and other stars and videos of him at the doctors office where the doctor is showing pictures of his brain scans and explaining how the disease is progressing. Very emotional.

Immenso Dimash.
