If I have a control to stay in the same city - I prefer hybrid with transport assistance. If the circumstances doesn't permit staying in the same city - then WFH. But no work from office without any transportation support.

Mindless valuation of such companies without a logic has to hit them hard! Real estate funding which came through VCs and investors was on the back of greed for high profitability and business plans based on projections and false future valuations. It’s all headed towards disaster.
@dhirajgupta7435 Жыл бұрын
Spot on. The smart head they recruit from top management schools only have a manipulative, greedy and expansionist mindset with no sensibility and humanity. They stretch people to the point where business collapses and sets the tone for economic recession. Real estate price is the biggest reason why India's economy isn't taking off. Talented individual and small scale entrepreneurs can't afford a office space. Real estate is limited to big pocket capitalists.

The CEO of WeWork was a genius. just before the IPO he got himself fired for a trivial woke reason. He took in billions of dollars as severance. He left and now the company has sunk. He is enjoying and raising money for his other 2 ventures. Pure genius.

Wasnt he fired because they wanted to fire him. The severance package was a total scam tough.

@@AlphaCentauri24Nah bro. he orchestrated it himself. Just before the IPO when no one knew that the business model itself is a scam. They should themselves as a "tech" company and he bailed out with billions of dollars.

Work from home everybody wants that's future of working Companies like we work need to move to tier 2 cities instead having offices in Bangalore where many tech parks already empty
@prabhakar0076 Жыл бұрын
😂😂😂 Tier 2 cities have office rent cheap. So stupid startup's like these fail instantly😂
The single most cost for corporate office is the EMI they need to pay to banks, with interest rates in US soaring, office vacancies grew, which prompted the government to mandate enterprises to come back to office, so that the offices stay and EMIs can be paid. Wework cannot mandate return to office, which i guess is creating this mess. If interest rates were low, then this would not have come.

WeWork is a classic case of reckless risk taking. Trying to sell something akin to old wine in a refreshingly new bottle & going reckless spending spree, paying no heed to revenue & bottom-line & financial viability. Losses had accumulated already n then came the global pandemic & death knell to its business.
@GururajBN Жыл бұрын
Yesterday's billionaires are today's paupers. Tough luck. Business environment changes so rapidly. Before you adjust your seat belt, you have landed! Probably Wework can scale down its operations rather than close down. It is still very useful for very small start ups. In Bengaluru, many start up entrepreneurs operate from coffee shops like Third Wave or Bistro. The only price is that from time to time, they have to keep ordering something to eat or drink for themselves or their visitors.

I heard that they might go bankrupt. It is all about selling concepts that might had not came across people's of before. Just like Instant Pot story. I remembered co-workers were crazy about Instant Pot before the pandemic. They even group purchased dozens of Instant Pots. The owner of Instant Pot though that everyone must be buying his product during the pandemic but he was wrong. His product was supposed to allowed people to prepare raw food materials in the Instant Pot then program it to cook while they are at work or in school. Meal will be ready when they are home. But the pandemic lock down totally defeated the concept of Instant Pot. People have all the time needed to stay home to cook or just buy meals delivery. Same failure can be applied to WeWork. The only difference is that it is a much larger scale.

Get a EV Vans and pick up who are working from home to We work space. Simple solution, looks like they are not having common sense people. Working in office feeds each other with more knowledge than working at home.
