It’s funny when you fish from the bank you cast as far as possible but when fishing from a boat you fish close to the bank

I have experienced this on a pond earlier in my 🎣 journey I only caught bass when I got close too the bank. So I figured out fish parallel to the bank more often. Great lesson Mr. B. Lat...

I fish a lot of rivers here in Philadelphia and it's hard, I rather fish ponds and lakes in my area. However the best lake is far and and the ponds are also a bit away. I do hit a heavily pressured small lake here in the city but I might catch something once out of eight visits. I do all this from the bank so I will be supporting you channel to learn more. Thank you Mr. B Lat...

Great video. Top two for me, swim jig with a zman hula sticks and a lipless crankbait. Two baits that can be used from just below the surface to hopped along the bottom.
@markb70672 ай бұрын
Probably my overall favorite pond bait is a white grub, 3 inches, twister tail on a jig head. Swim it just over the tops of the grass or bottom of the pond. A small lightly weighted watermelon zoom lizard is also a good choice.

I started using a modified Drop-Shot. I call it modified because I no longer use the traditional Drop-Shot sinkers, instead I use either a Ned-Rig, a Texas-Rigged bait of the same kind or on rare occasions I've used a jig as my Drop-Shot Sinker. By using soft-plastic baits of the same kind, one tied on as a Drop-Shot presentation and one tied on as either of the three Drop-Shot sinker replacements, it gives me a type of vertical Donkey-Rig, if that makes any sense. A Donkey-Rig moves horizontally at basically the same level of the surface of the water while my modified Drop-Shot moves horizontally as well but, at two different levels of the water column. It's a strange setup but, it works for me. I've even caught two fish at a time on occasion using this presentation.

Great content, as always. I don't bank fish, but use a 1-man boat in small lakes/ponds and a few reservoirs in SC. My go-to is a zoom speed worm in California 420 or junebug red or a small spinnerbait or chatterbait in white or bluegill, depending on bottom composition and water conditions.

Great video! One of my all time favorite lures I use in a pond is a zoom 5 inch Moccasin colored worm,it mimics small snakes.

This year it has been the senko/ stick bait (blu/black and baby bass) and the zoom brush hog (green pumpkin and red shad). Haven’t had much time to fish in the past few months but those two were very good to the first 6mo of this year.

I catch so many from the bank with craw-colored lipless cranks. So versatile. Just figure out if they are grooving on a no, one, two, or heavy knocker.

Man I’ve been waiting on a video of somebody talking about the mini max. I believe it’s the best chatter bait in ponds I have 8 or so lakes private lakes around me house I fish daily and I keep a mini max on my 7.2 blat special but my favorite color is the spot remover don’t know what it is but out of all the colors that spot remover gets it done but great video BLat 👊🏾. But hands down the best bait as of today is the crush city mayor on a 3/16 head. That is the deal it catches the bigs and the small ones even the crappie like it lol.

Man same, I love a ned rig even though I am in Florida I probably should not but I love throwing those in ponds or the shallow edges of any body of water. Tossing it to specific spots and feeling that tick is amazing. I have 3 though, for a reaction Super Fluke, watermelon... Bubblegum. Robo worm texas rigged with a 1/8 lead head, bluegill, pumpkin, ox-blood. Then the ned rig, Zman or 6th sense ned style baits. Black, pink and green pumpkin.

Impossible to tell from only a few fish but the bass in that pond may be stunted from overpopulation even small bodies of water can hold big fish 5 to 8 lbs maybe bigger down there I prefer a spinner bait over chatter bait any day just can never seem to catch as many as easily or as big with a chatter bait might just be me
