Man I've been fishing with Falcon rods for the better part of 15 years and built up a hell of an arsenal but about 6 months ago I bought all the stuff to start building rods. It started off just to prolong the life of all the rods I already had but recently built 3 rods from the blank up and I might have found a new addiction. Building your own rods and going to catch fish on them is freakin awesome... I definitely agree though you don't need 20+ rods and reels to go smash on them. Great video as always keepem coming man!!!!

Should have done this from the bank as well cos the average fisherman doesn’t have a boat. More often than not they’re not on one. Great concept nonetheless

A very well designed rod, it handled that range of lure weights well, and plenty of backbone for the hook set and fight.

Dude I love your content! I think being a kayak fisherman and taking 6 rods at once down to two makes a big difference. I prefer the minimalist or lite tackle set ups I have now. I throw four baits exclusively. Chatter, Ned, wacky, and a football jig. I have more trailers in different colors than anything.

Now your talking, we don't all need or have 10 rods on a boat deck. One rod master it and smoke those hogs. Whether that's bass, crappie, trout, pans or even cats. One rods tends to remind you or at least me the whole reason I absolutely love fishing it's not tons of gear it's the love of the game. Great vids keep em coming

This video came at the same time that I have decided that I do not NEED to continually carry 3 rods with me at all times. I have been taking a single rod out the last couple weeks to actually test out a new reel and line combo, and have been happily throwing everything on a 7'2" MH/Fast rod with either Mono or Fluorocarbon line. Great video!

Great stuff. I remember catching fish almost every time I went, and all I had was a zebco33 on an eagle claw rod as a teenager 😳. Now i have about 25 different ones and tend to grab the old IM6 Bill Dance open face or the Lews baitcaster

Having multiple rods can sometimes lead to more overthinking than actual fishing, self-indicted. Thanks for reminding me that keeping it simple and bare bones can also be very productive and fun.

7 foot rod length for fishing from the bank, but all of my reels are old school, slower retrieve models. I own 3 6:1 reels, but everything else is 5.6:1 or slower. Anything over 6 : 1 is unnecessary in my mind.

I carry two in my kayak. One has a shallow running lure tied on, the other has a medium (4-6 feet) running lure tied on. That's it.

Love the content! I would love to see more of this content that applies to normal weekend (non pro) anglers. My suggestion for next time is to use one spinning rod, only basic electronics (2d sonar). This may be a good one to use that new Jon boat!

I have no problem fishing with 1 rod. But I'll spend half my day retying my setup. LOL I usually have 2 M/H/F setup and ready to go. They're pretty much identical simply because I KNOW if there is a snag to find I will find it.

I just started my fishing journey not to long ago . I have 3 baitcaster 1 medium heavy , and two heavy’s , technique specific I use the heavy 6’9 frog rod for all my topwaters . One for jigging and one for chatterbaits . Ofcourse I can use them for different things but I dont own a boat so for me walking with 3 rods with different presentations tied on so I spend more time casting than tying on lures. Fishing also is good timing I wanna cover the most water and get the most casts in while covering the bank ! Just a tip from the bank !

@maxomaxwell70032 ай бұрын
@@jonathangarzon2798 yeah and it also takes buying more rods not to have to change lures all the time and waste expensive line if you use it braid or flouro. Ppl that fish a lot don’t wanna tie on different lures all day and waste fishing line for no reason. I way rather just pick up another rod with a different lure on it . If ur really into fishing don’t buy more rods and do this that simple if you ain’t that invested it’s okay…

@MoMan.882 ай бұрын
As a casual fisherman, do I need a bunch of rods nope, but do I have 30, yep lmao, but I fish from a kayak so I usually only bring 6-8 of the with me, if I’m floating a river I usually only bring bring 3-4, I carry multiple rods so I don’t have to retie every time I want to switch lures, that being said I usually fish two rods, one with a plastic worm and one with a jig, and I pretty much always catch fish on a jig or worm so I don’t fish with my other stuff, except when they’re hitting topwater, you can’t beat a topwater bite!!
