Reason why i love this channel is because he makes videos knowing we can do it also. He can have a million dollars and he would still go fishing on the beach/rocks instead of a expensive fishing boat. Have been seeing this man since around 100k subs and love all his videos. Keep it up man, make the best videos ever!!!!

Always think about someone's feelings when talking about cooking, your heart and soul is put out into every dish you cook, trying to please someone, to give them a smile, at least it's why I cook, so next time, dont be rude and say, "a way to improve the dish". Say something like, "to give it my style". Or something like that, cuz who knows who might get butthurt, love your videos man! I watch your channel every few hours to see for new videos 😅🤣🤣🤣

This stuff may have been suggested: For the crab shells it might be easier with a pair of snips to cut open the shell. Something that might be fun to try for cooking it: After dispatching the crab, use a needle and syringe to inject a “sauce” through the soft joint membranes into the legs. Then steam. As soon as the meat has firmed up, put the crab in a salted ice bath immediately. Once cooled, remove all of the meat using the snips. Let the excess liquid drain and freeze the meat. Once it’s mostly frozen, batter the meat and deep fry. Freezing it will allow you to cook the breading well enough without over cooking the meat.

Use crab shears to open up the shells! It makes eating/cleaning crab so much easier. I have the Kai DH7242 shellfish shears and they are high quality, Japanese made, easy to clean, stay sharp, and the little bottom finger makes getting into tight spaces easier.

I think you could par cook the crab, aka flash boil the crab, to help it release from the shell then take the meat out

I also learned from a buddy of mine, who is a seafood wholesaler, that you can shell a crab very quickly with a fork. You just use one tine and slide it in and use leverage. I couldn’t believe how fast he shelled a whole crab in about 2 minutes lol. He was done shelling a whole crab while I was still on my second leg lol

A decent pair of kitchen shears would zip through the leg exoskeleton easily. Tin snips for the actual knuckle sections. If you're going to remove shell from the claw, I'd probably use a fresh, cleaned pair of needle nose pliers to break the exo off bit by bit.

I use the crabslayer, and let me say, it really works. Better than anything you can get at Dicks, Bass Pro shop, Outdoor Pro Shop, Ect. I take good care of mine, Ken sends them to you pre-stored in a specific way that keeps all the loops up and open. I also buy the replacement loops, but I only replaced my all my loops once after like 5 months of use. good product It's Increased my chance of getting crab by like 300%!~

Try a pair of Fiskars EA0714 scissors for getting the leg meat out. I've used them on dungeness, snow, and king crabs. The Fiskares LC0919 work but not quite as good as the EA0714...great time saver and way more effective than a utility knife. Thanks for the pics guys.

If you ever wonder if there's a baby shark in the shark egg case/mermaid's purse you can either hold it to the sun (if bright enough and you'll see a dark blob if there's something inside) or put a torch on the other side of the egg and look. You can also tell if they have hatched if there is an opening at the ends of the case (not the side) :)

For easier opening with crabs you should buy a good pair of heavy scissors . They come in handy and cut right through the crab shell. Just cut on each side of the crab legs and open it up. Super easy.
