Smiley transit m47 bmw engine conversion not m57 with air conditioning

In this video I make a start on my conversion to a nice and quiet bmw engine,, compared to the banana engine anyway… I’m hoping this will be a relatively fast build so subscribe for updates

That was my car, I bypassed the hedgehog resistor because it ran the condensate dryer all night and killed the battery. Those cheap eBay ones have a bad rep so I fitted that manual control. The air con compressor packed up a couple of years ago, you will need to change it because the climate control won't go below 16° . The Speedo works off the rear left wheel sensor. Impressive work so far, there is no way Andy would have the patience to do that for the ambulance.

🤣 Andy said it would be a while before it happened,, to be fair he was going to buy a standalone loom,, I wanted to understand the wiring etc,, I had a feeling there would be some issues with the air conditioning so appreciate the comment… I will order one up before I fit it all, 👍

I appreciate the question and I will be explaining the reasoning in an upcoming video,, but basically love the style of the transit,, But it’s far too noisy for my liking and it won’t do more than 40mph over saddleworth,, m62 motorway which is plain dangerous to me.. I could add a turbo but I love a challenge and wanted air conditioning added
