Great way to do it, I personally record it with monitoring input only, I prefer not to print delays and reverb so when I send the stems out to the mastering engineer I send them exported without auto, then one version with auto and one mixed version too, I always do a rough master before too to make sure the mix is where I want it to be, the stems w/o auto always done be souding like a ill sounding goose or sum shit too I find it too funny when sending those in 😂😂

yeah i don't keep the delays or verb on either shxt be overload and a pain to go back fix with fx like that. try to keep it simple for tracking

Yes, you definitely can bro. Check Sky’s other videos where he uses Pro Tools he does it all the time. But as a quick answer: Use an Aux Track for the effects you want to print. Get a mono Audio Track as your record track. Send the output of the Aux Track to the an empty Bus(3) Change the input of the Record track to Bus(3)

The fact that this was the first video in my timeline makes me want to tell my story😢 😭 Got a session yesterday from one artist, and I kid you not his engineer had 2 tracks handling lead artist and backup artists… but the recordings still had loud air breathes, room noise and just weird rumbling… but the artist wants to submit a final mix same day to a contest. Now minding the fact that I kept saying he should get it recorded over a month ago… bro wanted a perfect record with post-work done to the beat in a 2 day turnaround… This gave me the ick fr, might not work with artists for a while… Whole point is, Sky giving out game… I literally use this exact method for recording. Gate>Pre-Amp>Auto-Tune That’s literally my tracking chain. Since I don’t really like mixing in FL I tend to move the tracked version to Pro Tools or LUNA(UA) to do a mix down.

you can't use anything uad without the interface. the point of the video was to show you how you can replicate the same workflow in FL without it
