What I do like about this scene is that it DOES show how straight up arrogant, almost cocky Superman is. He completely disregards Batman’s ability in every way. Batman uses weapons like sonar blasters and machine guns, knowing that they’ll only annoy Superman but not hurt him at all. You can also see how cocky Superman is when Batman drops the smoke grenade. Instead of using thermal vision, or X-ray vision, he just speed blitzes threw it because what could happen? He is far superior to Batman. And even though Batman was swift enough to dodge his attack, Superman still doesn’t feel threatened. Why would he? I say this because when Batman shoots the kryptonite Grenade, Superman instead of easily dodging it, he catches it. Because like stated before the weapons Batman has used have been nothing more than annoying. And when that grenade explodes, Superman learns that Batman is a danger to him and that he’s f%cked up bad. I love it

I wasn't a huge fan of this movie when it came out but I really like the armored batsuit. And if you think about it, imagine how strong Bruce has to be have that kind of mobility in that heavy suit (assuming it isn't motorized)

Batman has killed alot in the comic and even in the 'Dark Knight Trilogy' Beside, this Batman has been doing this for 20 years and lost someone close to him, he already lost all hopes (which was what this movie was about) then later got that hope in Zack Snyder Justice League

And in The Dark Knight Returns he didn’t kill consciously, he killed Joker after DECADES of not killing. And when he did, he deluded himself into believing joker snapped his own neck when all he did was paralyze him. So even when he killed, he didn’t do it knowingly. Also it’s fucking stupid to say he killed because of Jason Todd because if that was the case, Joker and Harley Quinn would both be dead, no debating, it was done because Snyder wanted to make cool action movies and doesn’t know shit about comic books. All his adaptions suck

Not just that, Henry Cavill's expression throughout this beatings really shows the imagery of a big guy who's never felt a real punch his whole life. The patheticness and confusion in his face when he felt Bruce's weight along with that armor crushing his body directly. This is what Superman's first kryptonite experience is. I know that by lore logic, he already knows what a real punch felt like through his fight with Zod and the other kryptonians, but by that logic they're all equally strong with slight comparison and techniques under the effect of earth's sun. Here, he is rendered to complete human slowed by earth's gravity and temperatures for the first time against a man who trained himself to withstand a fight with godlike being and a 100lbs fullmetal armor. Unlike Zod's fight which is big guy vs big guy, this is little man vs big guy
