Most of them believe in a down, and the force pulling things that way is done by gods magic. Interesting fun fact: Gravity isn't a real force, therefore is not necessarily real. Now, although it isn't real, it doesn't mean the equations aren't sound in our neck of the woods. Check out the veritasium video that explains it in depth.

I remember hearing about this guy. He’s wrong don’t get me wrong but I have mad respect that he actually built a rocket....unfortunately he got in it. What always pissed me off was oddly the people who attacked him, they seemed to celebrate his death....the response to flat earthers always struck me as needlessly aggressive. It’s dumb, yes, but talking about rounding them up and shooting them into the sun? Why?

I can't help but admire this guy. Besides having an excellent sense of humor he was someone that took matters into his own hands, despite of that dubious flat earth belief, he took action. Schools don’t allow it as a reference along with other institutions. We live INSIDE a pressurized container. It's about 14.7PSI at sea LEVEL. You need a container for gas PRESSURE to exist. The gas PRESSES on the boundaries of the container. The reason we have lower pressure at high altitude is because gases are created from ground level & work their way up due to their relatively lower density. The air/atmos is an inhomogenous anisotropic mixture constantly moving around with higher pressure moving to lower pressure which is why we have wind and weather systems. The 2nd law of thermodynamics shows that if there were a vacuum above us, all the air would fill the space and we'd be dead. It's basic physics. if gravity can't stop me from using a straw to create a little vacuum, then it can't stop the enormous vacuum of "space" from sucking all the air up. Large bodies of water level off and don't bend at the surface. The world's largest mirror is the salt FLATS called Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia when it has a few inches of rain. You see a flawless reflection of the sky across miles of flat water. Any slight curve would distort the reflection. If earth were spinning, flight times would be drastically different flying east vs. west. No curve no spin no globe.

No, the vacuum of space does not exert any force on the atmosphere at all. Vacuums never “suck” air. What they do is present an empty space and then air pressure forces the air into the vacuum. Air pressure is not uniform throughout the atmosphere. The lower the altitude, the higher the air pressure; thus, as you move higher, the air pressure decreases. In fact, at the upper limits of the atmosphere, the air pressure reduces to basically nil. And since there’s no real air pressure to speak of up there, then there is no force pushing the air into the empty space. Plus planes do take different amounts of time while traveling the same route in different directions.
