What fun narration on this one! When my 21 year old cat died, our other elderly (but less elderly) cat cried and cried for him, so we got him two rescue kittens, a brother and sister. Though he's always been a very grumpy cat, he was completely smitten with one of his new kittens. They'd chase each other in slow motion, which was just his speed, though not hers. He's slowing down even more now, so no more games of chase, but now he cleans her and cuddles with her, things he'd never done with any cat before. It's pretty adorable.

Respect to solo kittens. I would never forget my first ever foster of a kitten. That night i lost 3 gallon of cooking oil, 5 liters of unused cat litter, a fresh bowl of spaghetti but obtained a visit by a friendly but annoyed neighbor living downstairs due to midnight noisy kitten flying issues.

I'm in physical therapy right now and I don't think I'll be quite as agile as Fred and Ginger when I'm done, but it sure made me happy to see some special needs kittens given a second chance. ♥️ I've also got a tremendous case of kitten fever and as soon as I can get around a bit better I'm already planning on fostering through my local humane society.

I saw that on Kitten Lady too 😻 "Pitbulls and Paroles" also had 2 puppies on that were born with this. They built a small wooden shoot that encouraged them to walk upright and teased them with wet dog food to move forward. They eventually started to walk correctly and were adopted!!! 🐶🐾🐶

I first saw kitten swimmer syndrome covered by one of Kitten Lady's videos. Without coverage by her and you, and probably by folks like Chris from Cole and Marmalade, and Jackson Galaxy, we wouldn't have much information. Thanks, Flatbush Cats and other channels. Those of us who care about cats really need to know things like this in case we encounter kittens and cats who need help who have things like this. The foster carers and cat lovers and veterinarians on KZbin really do us and each other a good service and education, right along with the cuteness. There are plenty of not so cute and fun things that need our attention, but those are part of the care of having cats. Thanks, guys.
@benw99492 жыл бұрын
Oops, I left out Kitten Academy, Senior Cat Wellness, and there are many kitten fosters, so I didn't mention them by name. But these folks really are good sources. It's so good to have these available when we need questions answered, and just to see good stuff going on. Or, yes, sometimes difficult stuff too, but that needs to be covered so we know how to handle it and what to look for.

There is only 1 low cost spay and neuter clinic in our county, and they are backlogged over 300 dog and cat surgeries. The others are in the next city about 50 miles away. The vet clinics and hospitals don't deal with ferals, and charge phenomenal amounts for pets. There are some organizations authentically care, like Flatbush Cats 🐈. Sadly, alot are run like rackets. Thank you for spreading more awareness about adopting kittens in pairs as well! Cats aren't single animals and the myth of the "mean, unpredictable, evil cat" half stems from people adopting a single kitten too early, so it ends up not learning that bites hurt and use humans as their personal chewing toy.

Truly incredible to see the change in these two. What an inspiration. It's hard to believe that these two that appear to have unusable back legs could end up being completely normal happy, jumpy cats. When I saw the kitten stand up on his back legs, I gasped with amazement. Only a few weeks of a little extra attention and these kittens became happy adult cats that no one would ever believe had hind leg issues as infants. Absolutely amazing and inspiring. I hope many people see this video and see how that kitten swimming on the floor can have so much potential. Don't throw out disabled kittens!

Hi I'm a rescuer in Australia. I have raised a few kittens from a few days old with swimmers. My Dottie she had it bad I bottle fed her from a day old now 12 mths old . We gave them therapy 6 times a day for 6 weeks . Then 3 times a day for 6 weeks . I also would lay them on their backs and make them push up on my hands they still lay on their backs now on my lap . Haha . They get strong and you will wonder what was wrong . Dottie still can have problems running but she does . Vet says they are great and so do I . Dottie is ours now she crept into our hearts . They all have a home . Some with us and our other rescued fur babies , all 18 of them ages from 15 yrs - 5 months. Some have special needs from being hurt , or left on the street . God bless you for what you do. Karen and Tammy's rescue Australia 😼😺🐈🐶🥰💖🐨🇭🇲
