There are insanely good stunt people in this movie (along with tremendously talented actors). Zoe Bell who did the stunts for Uma Thurman is deserving of all the accolades.

The small moments/details in his movies are so intriguing. Whether it be a quick, close-up shot of someone brandishing a gun, any of the food/drink shots scenes, the training scenes in Kill Bill and Once Upon A Time, I just love them.

When the bride introduces her name then it bleeps her name out when I first saw this I just didn't honestly didn't know what to think at the time 😂 when the bride takes on the Crazy 88 that whole fight scene is absolutely nuts to the point where it had to be in black-and-white and then the fight scene between Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu was also pretty great too

Kill Bill is not just my #1 favorite Quentin Tarantino film, it's one of my top 3 favorite movies of all-time. Quentin Tarantino really had a love for classic HK martial arts film, westerns and samurai movies as you said. This is the film that really had me fall in love with Tarantino filmmaking along with Pulp Fiction and Inglourious Basterds which are in my top 3 of his work. The yellow outfit is similar to Bruce Lee's in the film Game of Death. As a martial arts and sword fighting lover, this film was truly made for me.

There are 2 Martial Arts legends in this movie. The Sushi Chef was Master Samurai Swordsman Sonny Chiba and the Crazy 88 Leader Johnnie Mo is Gordon Lui. Gordon appears in Part 2 in a different but iconic Martial Arts character. I don't live too far from Uma Thurman; home in Upstate NY and have run into her twice,, She said that she did as many stunts as they would let her. The most dangerous stunts were done by Zoe Bell (Xena's stuntwoman). She said that was constantly bruised and sore from the stunts they did let her do. She said that Gordon Liu worked with her and was a great teacher. She is a very nice lady, even more beautiful in person and very tall.

It always amazes me how the muscles in her legs are atrophied but her arms are super strong. I saw this movie in the theatre. I went up there on my motorcycle. When it was over, I got up and realized my armored motorcycle jacket was yellow with a black stripe on the sleeves. I was so self-conscious walking out.

My favorite Tarantino movie is “Death Proof”(2007). Love all his movies and the soundtracks!🔥🔥🔥 Shout out to Michael Parks has 2 roles in Kill Bill, the Texas Ranger Earl and Esteban the pimp in pt 2. Has been in several Tarantino movies. Age has nothing to do with crazy as a bedbug and Gogo is definitely crazier than a bedbug at 17...probably way before that. When I hear the kill target sound and everything goes red all I can think of is the old tv show Ironside where I first heard it as the opening bars of the shows theme song by Quincy Jones.😂 Uma's stuntwoman, Zoe Bell, was also the stuntwoman for Lucy Lawless on Xena: Warrior Princess.

I seem to remember some talk at the time that there would be a movie in 15 years or so where Vernita's grown-up daughter WOULD come for her revenge on The Bride (funny to think that 15 years seemed like such a long time to wait, when it's actually been about 20 years now)- I don't think that'll ever come to fruition, but it sure would be cool to see! And just when I think I couldn't love you guys more, Nick goes and mentions my favorite video game franchise...

The song that plays after The Bride kills O-Ren, is from a movie called Lady Snow Blood. Very fun older Japanese film, you can see where Tarantino got a lot of his inspiration.

Random fact about o'ren ishii is the reason she dose not have a hand guard on her samurai sword. Is because shes ment to be so skilled and its ment to be intimidating to anybody that knows kitanas and swords as shes that skilled basically she dose not need something to protect her hands when she fights.

The fountain blood spurting comes from some Japanese cult films of the 60's and 70's, 'Pinky Violence' and Gangster. Some of the soundtrack songs come straight from some of those films. Some of songs in Part 2 are from Spaghetti Westerns.

That alert sound is from the groundbreaking 1972 film "King Boxer" aka "Five Fingers of Death", starring Lo Lieh. Lo Lieh later played the protagonist in White Lotus Clan (opposite Pai Mei). He went on to play Pai Mei himself in Kill Bill 2, an easter egg from Tarantino. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5LYknV7bsSilZYsi=44IZXn4PZrKCaNKv Nearly every scene in the Kill Bill film(s) is an otaku wuxia homage from Tarantino.

Ah, a classic! 11:37 The cartoon was an homage to anime. Tarantino said the idea and concept for adding a cartoon to show violence were inspired by an Indian Tamil language film(Nope not B'wood, it's Kollywood) called "Aalavandhan". Was made by one of the Indian legendary actors Kamal Hassan. He made many sorts of low-budget films that pushed boundaries in hush subjects and gave hope to spending more financially on artistic, realistic, and taboo topics films.

8:40 yeah, not too long ago - maybe a few years at most - there was an article someone posted on Facebook about a coma patient getting knocked up at some clinic or healthcare center. It wasn't a large hospital, so it wasn't a huge staff like you would normally expect. So the clinic was making all the male staff take paternity tests. Now, I'm not sure what the results were... but one of the comments on the Facebook post really angered me. Something to the effect of "if I worked there I would refuse," something about "they can't prove it was anyone there, they have no probable cause" and this love gem "I think they (the coma patient and her significant other, and the medical center) should just accept this as a miracle of God, like the Virgin Mary with Jesus." I honestly don't know what's worse... the perpetrator, or the sicko trying to excuse it using the Immaculate Conception of Christ.

Also Pai Mei is played by Gordon Lui ala Chia-Hui Liu..a famous Shaw Brothers actor. 22:02 the jumpsuit is an homage to the suit worn by Bruce Lee in his last film, Game of Death. 23:10 the dramatic blood spray is taken from a variety of Samurai films from earlier Japanese films. at some point you might checkout the Lone Wolf and Cub films, or the American hybrid, Shogun Assassin, which spliced some of the episodes together and gave it an English dub.

As for the sword and how she could take it on the plane I think it’s bc in Japan traditionally made katana are considered works of art, and not weapons. They are very strict regarding what can be called true Japanese katana. They have to be made traditionally in Japan, and Okinawa (where the swordsmith was) is a Japanese Island south of Japan. Bc a plane from Okinawa to Hokkaido( or whichever island this takes place) would be internal, so I think they’d allow her to carry it as a carry on, I don’t think anybody involved would care to lose an art piece. It’d be like losing the Mona Lisa in your suitcase

If anyone could help I'd appreciate it. There was a samurai movie I loved as a kid about a samurai taking care of a little boy. I forget the plot it's been so long, but they were traveling & would get attacked along the way to their destination. It's prob '60s or '70's. I found it at a local video store as a teen in the '80s. That was before any national chain video stores like blockbusters so it had to be a well-known classic. Putting out the word here otherwise I'll never find it with all the samurai flicks.😅 ✌🌎❤

@@innercircle341Don't be so fast with the term "impossible" if it comes to Tarantino. He always had a fable for authentic references. One example? The cast of Franco Nero (Django 1966) for his title Django unchained. It's true that I've no actual proof that it's the exact same Jumpsuit but honestly it would fit the way Quentin thinks and works.
