Floor🌷 is transmitting emotions. Literally. It's like she's having a remote control in her hand and every note or word or gesture from her is a button that instantly makes mortals feel however she wants. It's unreal. I don't know if there's anything left unsaid about her. Personally, I think that the main question that she should be asked is which planet does she comes from. Nice Reaction Athena! All of her performances on the Beste Zangers show are awesome! She sings in German (Vilja Lied) and Spanish (Que Se Siente). Another performance that really highlights Floors voice is a Nightwish song called Hows the Heart. Floor and Troy went to the Planet Rock studio and did an Acoustic version of the song that is out of this world!

Thanks, it was another good video! A couple of stories again. When this Beste Zangers video came out, on that particular Saturday the "Nightwish Army" was waiting for it to come out because we all knew it was coming. The next day in Finland, the matter was reported under the headline "The day the internet broke". It described the situation of how many fans were watching a video on KZbin at the exact same time. 😅 And there must have been a lot of us fans online at the same time. As a point of comparison, we can think of spring 2021, when it was pandemic time, and Nightwish did two virtual concerts. 150,000 tickets were sold for the concert in question (but none of us know how many people actually saw it, there could have been more than one person in the same apartment) to 108 different countries. This Beste Zangers version was a variation of NW's performance, but if you want to watch it in NW format, it's really good. I would recommend that official NW video where Floor and Henk sing it (Ziggo Dome). A few others have already recommended the video. It's a bit different, so it brings something new to the same song. In addition, you can see what NW is capable of when making a cover song! 🙂 By the way, NW is known for the fact that they also change their own songs somewhat for tours in different years. So sometimes different "years" of the same song are interesting to watch because of their differences! We have a Floor joke among NW fans. Question: Who is the best female metal singer in the world! Answer: Floor Jansen Question: Who is the second best female metal singer in the world? Answer: Floor Jansen with flu. In the spring of 2022, I was at a NW concert and Floor was sick, some sort of stomach flu. She didn't speak anything during the concert, just sang her own parts. A few times her voice disappeared in the middle of a word, meaning the rest of the word disappeared. BUT, otherwise her voice was really good. So that joke is not a joke, but a fact! 🤣 We were a group of three friends at that concert, and one of my friends has studied music until university (no vocal studies though, but understands very well vocal techniques, etc.). We were seated and probably half the time she was leaning forward with her eyes zoomed in on Floor. Afterwards, she said that Floor was really excellent and that Floor is the best possible singer for the band. And yet, Floor was sick then and couldn't sing properly!

Nice recommendations. Consider replacing the ordinary AVRO/TROS versions with the far superior versions on Jennie Noppers' channel i.e. the English subbed "intro/outro" versions. Way more fun & context. Also less chance of getting blocked. E.g. Shallow --> "Floor Jansen - Shallow (2019) + intro and outro (With eng subtitles)". No need to apologise for tears when reacting to music, it’s quite common really; I get like that myself regularly! There’s a bit of a story around this song with Henk, he performed it in the original performance of Phantom when Floor was quite young, he was her hero and has been for years she always dreamed of performing with him. This was the first of a few - they performed this with Nightwish live at Amsterdam, it was amazing!

IMO Floor's voice is much fuller in this version as compared to the Nightwish concert version. I don't know if it's the difference in mixing, difference in sound of the intimate venue versus the concert hall, or perhaps Floor sang it differently in the concert knowing she has more songs to perform and more shows to do, versus the one-off performance on BZ where she could give it all. Regardless, I too enjoy this version the most, even with Floor's extended final note in the NW version. 🤔

I love this performance. Also, if you are not familiar with an artist named Dan Vasc, I would recommend his version of 'The Music of the Night'. He is a self-described metal singer from Brazil and is hugely talented. Pick anything you like - I am always amazed at his perfomance(s) of the 'Hallelujah Chorus' in which he does all the parts.

He clearly objected to your pronunciation of Floor "Djensen" 😁 The boat connection is obvious: Bouni was like, "look where I'm pointing.. it's 'ya' as in 'yacht'.." (which is derived from the Dutch word 'jacht'). Your "Beste Zangers" was spot on. Floor & Henk never met before the show and Henk didn't know her. Take a look at his reaction in the first episode, dedicated to him, when Floor (a fan of Henk) did "Vilja Lied". He was NOT prepared for the incoming Floorgasm and neither were the other singers. Yes these are all incredible singers!! (I'm Dutch too I can say also I'm proud of them 😁) even tho my dutch is very bad hahaha I can't speak a lot anymore
