I just bought my first iPad - 10th generation - and while I am proficient on iPhone and MacBook Pro, this has been a whole new learning curve. I might add that I turn 80 in two weeks and I’ve kept a journal and a paper notebook for probably 50 something years, your KZbin video was the simplest, easiest to understand that I’ve watched so far. I still cannot figure out how to use my planner even though I’ve watched many videos. I wish I could find something that explains the dashboard in a simple way. You’re the first person that has mentioned the paper Screen cover, so I’m eager to try that. I don’t have TikTok, but I hope to find a lot more videos that you have done as I love your style of teaching. Thanks for these tips.

Thank you for the extra push I needed to go completely digital. I am a sixty eight year old digital maniac but I still have loads of papers on my desk. A month ago I bought an iPad Air 2020. Little by little it is becoming an essential part of my daily life. Replacing paper, my desk gets cleaner every day. I forget less and I am more organized than ever before. I must even admit that my sense of happiness is improving!! After years of IT frustrations I see the use of trusting my life on an iPad now. My handwriting is awful but this incredible machine can actually read it, a miracle. You have just given me the ambition to start working on improvement, that is a new goal in life now. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! Hugo

It’s been 2 months now and I’m just wondering if you still love it? I’m a Liberal Studies major and I’ve been thinking about getting an iPad Air 4th gen. I wouldn’t be using excel or any Adobe programs, so I won’t be using heavy programs or anything. I would be using it as my main computer/tablet (writing essays, note taking, doing assignments, etc.) as well as watching KZbin and movies. Do you think it would be a good investment?
@kelliermeader3 жыл бұрын
@@bitvhbag I do still love it! It made it thru summer term with me! I used it for everything and it’s the first thing I grab instead of my MacBook. I’ve found it’s easier to do assignments on and writing papers. My school has the office apps available to us students so I just use the word and excel app and found it’s a lot easier to use vs the desktop app. Also was nice to have it so I can use my digital planner to stay organized! For everyone who wants a matte protector for writing, but dont want to lose the great quality of the screen (you do, there is no denying it), i can really recommend magnetic protectors. With them you can just take them off if you want to do sth else and put them back on for writing or drawing. They are also cheaper than the paperlike

So simple, yet so genius for having straight handwriting.

I too write on an iPad and did face all the problems mentioned in the video. If below are rectified, notes look lot more beautiful. I know I am echoing the same points but its out of my personal experience. - Use a good matt finish screen guard - A nice stylus/pencil - text size non-uniformity - Use zoom and then write within a specified height. It gives a great control. This solves 2 problem at once. - Use ruled lines / graph to guide the handwriting - If you are using MS oneNote - This tip is from an another video. Make sure you set zoom to 100% and after that have a line drawn at the right end of the screen. OneNote does have a big canvas to write on, which has to be limited with margins. The last tip - YES!! KEEP writing!! and you will know how fun writing can be. I have an ipad mini 5th gen and a non-apple pencil.

I’m old school in that I learned cursive in grade school and have never gotten used to printing (printing seems much slower than cursive). Your tips are very good and makes me want to attempt writing on my iPad again. Thanks!

I have an iPad mini. I didn’t think I needed the accessories for my Apple Pencil but after watching your video I am finally convinced to give it a try. 🙂

Hi.. I’m Faizah from Malaysia. I am a very new owner of an iPad Pro 12.9 (2021). I am struggling with my note writing and i just love your tips! I think i need to discard my journal and start using my ipad and apple pencil to their full potential. Thank you for the videos. I’m a fan!

Thanks so much for this video - it will help me a ton as I learn how to go paperless. I have used a ream of paper in my business a week for 35 years! Loving my Ipad so far!

Hey, Hi, Hello! I am Sarah and I have the iPad Air 4, which I bought last fall to help with studying/note-taking while prepping for the MCAT! This video was recommended by youtube because they clearly knew I was in need of some tips! I didn't even realize you could change the pen settings on any of the note-taking apps, so super excited to try that out:)

Hello. I loved your content, I’m just a beginner and I’d like to share your video to my 16 year old son so maximize the usage of his iPad Air that was bought a week ago. First, I’d like to inquire what application do you use in your video, the planner and stuff… those are so cool!!! Your help and assistance will highly appreciated. Thanks a lot…
