While I'm not to that level in my progression I do have my ham radio license. I noticed your radio/antenna is orientated ~90 degrees from vertical, if there is another pilot with their antenna pointing up you will lose reception by a factor of 100. Due to how RF works, I recommend all pilots point to their antennas up giving you the best reception possible. Always appreciate the videos and I look forward to the next!
@AriintheAir4 жыл бұрын
Holy shit! This is very useful information! If the other pilot has their antenna oriented horizontal as well, will we maintain reception?
@Gdawg8154 жыл бұрын
@@AriintheAir Yes they will but at a reduce reception by a factor of a 100. The radio waves look like an apple coming out of the antenna so out of the top and bottom the antenna the signal isn't as good. Since we don't fly with circular polarized antennas we have to orientate the antennas with each other, and that is the biggest part of having good reception. You might be able to get away with a good/shorter antenna as well. If anything I recommend doing some research on what I'm talking about and or trying it out yourself, especially since I'm just some random dude on the internet 🤣 🤞 It's flyable today. Hopefully this helps in the future! If you have more questions feel free to ask!

Hi Ari, according to Ziad Bassil, Turning behavior in turbulence - Handling in rough air (10 as best handling) it's only 6.8....something to say on this...? and no any other drawbacks? negative points to get in consideration? I don't think it's all perfect....I'm very interested in getting one so I'm only ears....thanks in advance...!!

hey mate what is your usual flying weight? I am looking at getting a Fusion light and have heard from a few sources now that its flies really well above 92. I am about 95 when I am fully loaded with vol biv gear. do you reckon thats all good to fly this wing with that load? Do you lose any performance? is there a reason you didn't go for the M size? cheers
@Itsallgoodtogo3 жыл бұрын
Looking at your dusty takeoffs ... whats the average lifespan or resale value of a wing over there? Can't be that good. Here in the alpine parts where we are taking off and landing on soft lush green grass we can still sell the wing for like 2k after 2 years of active flying with it (lower classes).

No, I would love to try it! Just started selling Macpara, but haven't flown the new Eden!

can you explain what you mean by "work load"? I have kitesurfed for about 18 years, but only paraglided for about 2 years. Flying a BDG Epic now (low B) and a Little Cloud EZ or Goose for higher winds. Curious what you mean by "work load" though.
@AriintheAir4 жыл бұрын
Workload refers to how much the pilot has to add input to the glider to keep it comfortably flying. Typically, the lower the rating, the lower the workload. An Enzo is more work to fly than an Epic, which is obvious.

Hi I am looking for new C-Tool ;-) Have been flying the Queen 2 from 777, and like that very much, however it is quit worn an I am looking around for new C glider. Have you tried Q2 an if yes how would you compare Q2-Fusion. Very best regards Lars
@AriintheAir4 жыл бұрын
Hey lars! I have not flown the Q2, but i have flown against it in multiple competitions. The Q2 had the rear riser steering before the Fusion even came out, it was one of the first. The fusion is a step up in performance and a big step down in workload. The q2 is such a great glider and is so effecient. If you like the Q2, i think you’re gonna really love the fusion! Im trying to get a Q2 to test!

I like your channel but this time I'm skeptical about your opinion of this glider. You fail to mention how it reacts to collapses and in fact looking at Ben Proebsters test I find it hard to understand how it could get through the EN certificacion, and I'm not the only one

Hey Ari, did you fly this against a Delta 4?
@AriintheAir4 жыл бұрын
Nope, with M7s. It was a very similar performance to the M7, but I think the M7 had a slight edge. I'd say the Delta4 is gonna be a similar performance to the Fusion/Cure2/Queen2 class
@boriss53854 жыл бұрын
How would you compare it to the Delta?
@AriintheAir4 жыл бұрын
It is easier, faster and more stable than the delta, with better glide and better rear riser control. I'm interested in testing the Delta4 though!
@JorgeParagliding4 жыл бұрын
@@AriintheAir I think the real comparison is not with past Deltas but with the Delta 4. Same 3-2 liner technology and riser setup (more or less) but with the Delta 4 having less A.R. at 6.05. I wonder which one offers the less pilot workload of the two...
@AriintheAir4 жыл бұрын
JorgeParagliding I totally agree man! Im very curious about the delta 4. Ive owned two deltas and an alpina, ive flown lm6, m7 and zeno - im sure the delta4 is AMAZING!

Would love to try this glider. I'm pretty pleased with my lowly Zeno, but it is a high workload sometimes. BTW, on a side note, I heard you on the Adventure Sports Podcast the other day. Loved it, didn't know you were doing your own either. What is it called Ari? And as a third topic, I'm coming to Oregon in August to fly and live in my truck for a couple of weeks. Would love to meet up at your locale and ride some sky together!
