Hello Captain Joe, skydiver here with mistake #36: When John deploys his parachute, he reaches down with his right hand to pull his pilot chute (which pulls out the rest of the the canopy), this is correct, but he doesn't appear to bring his left arm in front of him, failing to do this at terminal velocity, would flip him over quite violently :-)

One more mistake: he isn't affected by the wind, or the plane is stationary in the air When he jumps out, he only drops out and down from the door; he doesn't move aft compared to the plane, which would happen if the plane was still flying

Mistakes I found: 1- That plane won't last 14+ hours on air. It needs refueling. 2- You can't simply change the flight plan out of a whim. 3- At cruise altitude, the fusalage would expand a bit and that door would be physicaly impossible for a human being to open. 4- Even if he managed to open the door somehow, that would cause an explosive decompression and he would be instantly sucked out of the aircraft. 5- There are no parachutes on aircrafts for people to grab them. They have to be put there intentionally befor the flight. 6- Even if he had some comunicator device, that wouldn't work with that distance from the plane. 7- Even if the comunicator worked, they wouldn't be able to hear each other because of all the air flowing into the mic. 8- You can't see Jonh Cena. Sorry. The last one was wrong. Correction: yes you can see him because now he is John China. And Taiwan IS a country.

my list (long long read ahead): breaking into cockpit and the pilots are chill about it talking to pilots like it's nothing cockpits usually aren't that wide can't open the door mid-flight if the door was opened, rapid depressurisation would immediately suck him out and fill the whole cabin with very dense mist the papers wouldn't fly around like that flaps extended in cruise? by the looks of it the craft's a 737 (no landing gear doors on the belly), the cockpit doesn't look like one of a 737 (more airbussy) landing gear lever down and on the left side? oh also 737's don't have doors in the middle of the fuselage (apart from overwing) but he's jumping out of one anyway, and a pilot from the cockpit's watching his run-up

Decide to jump right off the freaking plane. She opened the exit door at ≈40k feet and jumped right out and somehow didn’t activate the exit slides. Also the oxygen masks did drop down but they took a long while and they came out one at a time. And also, how the hell did she get a hang glider past the security and into the overhead bins??

In the first cabin scene, the glasses are on the left side of the table or board just like that without a holder or recess on the surface. Who served him the food? There is no cabin crew. When someone rushes into the cockpit like that, the pilots' heads should immediately turn toward him. The display in the cockpit probably shows an airport.

Cabin door, usually they open INWARD (unless being an intergral part of an airstair system) the pressurisation system would blow the door clean off but ususally the door cannot be openned at that altitude. The flight plan CAN be altered! This is not a real aircraft but a mockup set. The shot of him jumping out the set is WAY too wide, almost like an A-380 width (at the cabin level). And at that altitude, NO MASK or breathing apparatus upon jumping out? Cabin is W A Y TOO LONG! Windows are OBVIOUSLY fake and gear lever is on WRONG side! There is a feature film comedy that came out int he early 80-s simply called 'Airplane!' It is HILARIOUS. It has so many gags that one really must see twice or more times. One of our YT mates George Kelsey (Gear74) has done a series called Hollywood vs Reality. This is one of the films he has reviewed. (and stop calling me suerly!)! It is a great comedy film. I have a close friend who doesn't like it, but me being into the aviation industry I certainly can appreciate the humour therein.

Hey I've just been watching your videos and I have an Ambition to become a Pilot, I'm below 18 and from Asia and I've spotted some mistakes in the First ad, 1) Passengers can't enter the cockpit without permission/prohibited 2)You can Compel the Pilots to redirect the flight course 3)You can't open the airplane door in mid-air cause the pressure outside is too high and it'd be impossible to open the door 4) Passengers are not provided parachutes (From my experience of being a passenger and the flight attendant not showing the parachute procedure) . Thank you for making our days informative in this Pandemic! :))

Thanks for the video! :-) I am wondering how log it took to sail over the open ocean to Abu Dhabi according to the plane's position shown on the map.

Hi Captain Joe, Take a look at a film 'Flight 192' - an absolute disaster, check out the following times - 16:10, 16:16 parked at gate, requests backtrack while loading pax but unloading cargo containers, after approved to backtrack - whilst still parked P2 states copy - clear take-off runway 17 whilst still parked, control settings and display disagreements, 19:22 aircraft takes off with 2 engines, 19:39 morphs into 474 4 engines, dialogue at 1:04:00. There are many more...

Thankyou Capt. Joe for the good analysis. I often find aviation scenes in movies and its often hotch potch and away from an authentic aviation scene. This analysis and future consultation is so much needed. Thankyou for bringing this up.I am so glad there are more persons like you who think on the same lines just as much as I do.

I found another one! I found another one! When the guy jumps out, he would be pushed backwards relative to the airplane, maybe even hitting the wing or engines (depending on which airplane or exit he actually jumps out) and in the following cut he wouldn't be exactly below the airplane but behind it already. Also, he doesn't present his body into the wind meaning he'd probably get unstable and tumble around. Kind regards, ex-skydiver 🙂 Thanks to you and your skydiving-pilot colleagues for hauling us up and dealing with our f.rts!

Awesome video, Captain Joe! Few other skydiving things: - his exit position is WAY off. When you exit an aircraft (especially with a relative wind of +500mph), you will be skydiving almost parallel to the ground, not directly at it. This portion of the skydive is called "the hill". It takes around 10-15 seconds before you're skydiving straight down. So the first few moments out the door (assuming perfect stablity and belly into relative wind), he should look very cantered. ALSO, just going off experinece, a really inexperienced jumper will likely be tumbling like a ragdoll even with a good solid arch, especially at that speed and altitude. - upon exiting, he'd be slowing down to terminal velocity (both horizontal and vertical)... the plane would be WELL forward of him even a few seconds out the aircraft. - assuming he's exiting out the front door, there's a HIGH probability at that wind speed he'd strike the leading edge of the wing, or even tumble over the top of it. Exiting out a real skydiving door at +110kts becomes a very serious issue with tail strikes, and those sit higher than a wing. - at his exit altitude, he would require a bailout bottle to remain conscious - he IS wearing a correct rig, however the parachute he's flying (looks like a Sabre 3) looks a bit too small for his weight and (assumed) expeirence level of no jumps. - his landing is pretty cringe, but at least they showed him flaring.

The plane in the skydiving scene, knowing that it's a private jet with a wide cabin, looks like either a 737 or Lineage 1000, which is the business version of the Embraer E-Jet family. They should have just changed the plane in the beginning to make the commercial more believable. The cockpit doors on most large airplanes have a lock, so John Cena couldn't get in that easily. Also, I noticed that he jumped out of the plane near the cockpit, in front of the engines, which is dangerous because he could have hit the engine and died instantly. Edit: The cockpit layout and the strange door indicate that this might be a heavily modified airbus A320 or similar airbus plane. (I'm that very knowledgeable about airbus)

I think the biggest one for me was that it went from a private jet to... Oh hey, it's got a full on galley. And that bottle of orange juice, wow. I want one of those magic bottles for my work truck, because if it won't move when the plane depressurizes, it definitely won't tip, fall over, or spill when I tip the cab over on my work truck to check the engine oil during my morning routine. Yup, seems at least once a month someone in our building will put their coffee in the cab before they've done their daily inspection, and most of the building knows who did it by how loudly that swearing is...

1. How does he talk with the pilot. I suppose the door is closed (as shown right after) 2. So many different airplanes! It start with a private jet with rear engines, then seems to be a 737. 3. How he talks with the pilot WHILE FREE FALLING!?!?

Awesome 🤩 video like always here is a good video idea that I want to know explaining all the air spaces like alpha air space bravo,Charlie something like that the mistakes I found was a 14 hour flight in a golf stream and then when he jumps out it’s a 737 and the cabin is to big for a golf stream and he opened the door at a high altitude! And when he’s about to job you can see a a320 cabin

5:00 one question: if the pressure is coming from the inside of the plane against the door; and the airbus door is opening outside-ways: wouldnt that make is much easier the open the door, since the only force against would be the pressure from the air streaming around the plane and from the door-mechanics?
@willj1598
@willj1598 2 жыл бұрын
The doors are wedge shaped, and are being pushed from the inside out due to cabin pressure being higher than outside atmosphere. In their closed position they won't fit straight out through the opening. They first have to move inward and then tilt or rotate to fit out through the opening. I think Joe or Mentour Pilot had a video about it once.

Is that aircraft door the kind that you have to pull in and then push out. Cause the inside of the jets pressurized and it would be impossible to open if it is a door like that.

Captain Joe! You also missed the fact that in the jump scene, John Cena is clearly not wearing any headset or other communications device, BUT, when he's skydiving, he's hearing and talking with the pilot.
@user-vh2cu3bo9k

Mistakes I noticed:- 1. There is no way John Cena could communicate with the pilot from the cockpit because it is loud, the door was closed plus the pilots wear headphones . 2. The pilot said they would have to travel for another 14 hours, but that would not be possible as the plane they are on cannot travel for 14 hours. 3. That didn't look like a learjet cockpit at all. Looks more like a 787 4. You can't open the cokpit door with the pressure difference. 5. There are no paratutes on that plane. Where did he get the parachute from? Did he plan to jump even before taking off lol? 6. The first officer could not stand so perfectly with all the air rushing out of the plane. 7. The leajet changed into a 737 when he jumped lol

Started with a citation or business jet.. he jumped out of a 737 or larger 767 idk.. then the cabin is pressurized so would never succeed in opening the door... didnt seem there was a setup like the one in the plane.
