I love Nia but Bill was 100% correct about people living in a fantasy world. I've had this conversation with my daughter and niece. If you wear short or tight clothes for young handsome guys, don't get mad because dirty old men are checking you out too 😂😂😂

@Super Man Excuse me if I sound rude. There is no intention. Also if you're being sarcastic. But I hear this sentiment enough that I have to comment. But I'm curious of why society wants to take all agency away from women. Being equal and being treated like we would treat our peers means just that. For example, I was raised in the Bronx during the 90's, aka the wild west. During a period that you had to throw out all your red and all your blue because Bloods and Crips set up shop. A time where wearing jewelry was just asking to get jumped. We know there are thieves out. So when something happened, you're damn sure we were curious on why they invited that trouble down on them by choosing that clothing. Is it a dumb world that you need to do stuff like that? Absolutely. But how ludicrous the situation is doesn't take away the danger. I should feel free to do whatever I want in front of cops and gangs because I'm an actualized person... but the reality is I'll get my ass beat and/or killed by doing so. What good will it do trying to convince me that I should be able to wear red in Blood/crip territory? What good will it do to coddle young women to announce themselves to the perverts of the world "just because they have the right to"?

@@kandrs7445 I agree with you that everyone should take precautions to protect themselves (now I live in a state where it's pretty common for people to carry guns). So that's all good. But at the same time I think it's a fine line with things like an old man being a creep. Because sometimes a young woman maaay be wearing something that shows a lot of skin. But back when I was a teen taking the NYC subway, there were teen girls wearing plain ass clothes an they'd still have older men eyeing them up and down. Big boobs (can't help that, it's genetics) fully covered in a baggy t shirt, and they're still getting inappropriate looks and comments. So I think there has to be accountability for the creeps in the world as well. And by accountability, I mean if some old dude makes creepy comments about a young girl, he should be knocked TF out.

@@bleechrcreechrr You're absolutely right. No one should be made to feel uncomfortable for just existing. But we are not in a fair, just world. I have to prove I'm not a threat any time I'm outside of the black culture. I'm 6'2, broad, and black. I wish I didn't have to worry about my tone, my dress, or if any one can take my mannerisms as 911-worthy. But I do. I have to comport myself as such. As much as I wish women didn't have to fear how they are going to be judged, accosted, or worse, I understand that is wishing for a utopia. I rather prepare the women for the disgusting display of the real world than just fill their minds with "this shouldn't happen. Do what you want because you're in the right and they are pigs".

What's more important, your friendship with some married dude, or his relationship with his life partner and the love of his life? Especially when you're acting the way you do, with the freedom to, but don't wanna give a little in order to make someone other than yourself comfortable? What's funny is if she was in a relationship and her dude was with someone 10x hotter than her, I doubt she'd have no feeling about it. There was a guy who thought he was friends with grizzly bears. He didn't want to live his life in fear despite everyone telling him that these bears are dangerous. He knew this. They told him that sooner or later he was going to meet the wrong bear. He was very knowledgeable on bears and interacted with them in amazing ways. He did this for years and nothing happened. So one season he took his girlfriend out to bear country. The season was changing such that bears would be more hungry and a little more desperate. Every other scientist woudl leave before that time came, but this guy wanted to get one last encounter with a particular bear. You can google audio of both him and his girlfriend dying; it used to be available; not sure now. They found the bear that did it, and it had eaten them. But they didn't live in fear. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You don't have to live in fear, but I strongly suggest not living in stupid.

@@Blackbirdinthedeadofnight there’s a fine line between fear and scrutiny. I think kids should be scrutinized for alot of stuff growing up which will prepare them to fight for their piece of the world. Confiding also shouldn’t be a thing they depend on, what if ur 20 something year old alone out in the world and in a dark place, all u ever got used to was having a shoulder to cry on? Setting aside the personal danger, there's a major difference between what you do with your own body and what you publicly broadcast to get attention. If this girl is so proud of her looks then why does she need the validation from all of her guy friends who are in relationships? Here's the thing, sharing racy pictures of yourself serves only one purpose: to attract sexual desire. Now a person may want to do that for any number of reasons, from insecure need for validation to actually trying to poach someone who's already in a relationship. Regardless, it isn't as innocent as she's making out. I'm not saying she wants anything to happen, but she definitely wants every guy she shares those pictures with to get turned on, that's the singular purpose of sharing such pictures. I actually had a friend like this. The first time she showed me pictures of her half-naked, posing provocatively I actually called her on it. I told her I wasn't interested in seeing her that way since we both were in relationships and I knew she wasn't interested in me as more than a friend because we had been single not long before and she hadn't said a word. This was just to get some attention and validation at my expense. This girl, yes girl not woman, has very little respect for her friends and their relationships. If she really considered them friends, she wouldn't be trying to get these guys to see her in a sexualized manner, period.

There's a difference between living in fear and living in reality. Reality is there are horrible and messed up people out there. You dont need to live in fear to understand youre creating a situation where youre gonna get hurt.

Basically, she was giving Bill a heads up that he was picking an unnecessary fight and might want to chill before sh*t escalated in front of his audience. Beyond that, I don't want to tediously break down the important differences between the 2 statements, this is a KZbin comment section after all. But if you were happily married, you'd get what I'm saying. Pick your battles wisely.

Bill is 100% right that posting pictures like that is a bad idea as it will lead one to attract the wrong type of person AND more importantly could cost you future jobs and relationships. Stuff posted to the internet is always going to be out there and is permanent
@seanmatthewking
@seanmatthewking 3 жыл бұрын
Not really. You delete those photos or make them private and nobody can see them...unless people saved and reuploaded them, but don’t think most people get their photos reuploaded by others. And I think you’re really overestimating the amount of guys who will care. As long as you know how to filter out the attention you don’t want, you’re fine. And if it’s not working how you want it too, I think that’ll become evident fast and you can remove the pictures. And Bill’s take about some guy in a van is extremely improbable.

This is honestly the smartest Bill has ever sounded to me. Personally at least. "Can you please not post that?" Is a half assed way of a parent asking their kid to not do something that at the end of the day they both know they're going to do. They only do a lazy attempt just to say that they did it instead of laying the hammer down and telling them what's what cut and dry. The whole "feminism" ideology is a toxic thing to value especially when it comes to your kid and how they present themselves to the world.
