As an Italian, sometimes I eat pizza. Since I came to know about these tricks here what I did: Saturday evening , while my homemade pizza was cooking in the oven, I had a glass of water with a tablespoon of ACV, then ate a cucumber and carrot salad (fiber) and a piece of Parmesan cheese (protein and fat) Then two slices of my pizza topped with mozzarella, some vegetables and anchovies.

Lemon before food, or vinegar (I prefer apple cider vinegar) was popular in the 70s for slimming. My mother had varicose veins needing surgery before taking apple cider vinegar. She never needed the operation after that. I used it on mouth ulcers, but in any case, you need to be careful of tooth enamel. So, some water after vinegar is good. Vinegar/oil/dressing is good.

My mum told me this decades ago. She passed away in 2012 in her 90s. I am never going to find out how she knew all she knew. The importance of stretching, deportment, make you own meals, order of eating, portion size, feed your gut with kimchi and fermented, and the apple cider or lemon in the morning. I have no desire to trivialise whatsoever...it is the 'why do some of us get this knowledge from our mums in the 1960s and 1970s and here are now podcasts, what happened? Even tho it was used did anyone really know about glucose levels 100s of years ago?
@foxfitnesswellnessnutritio67017 ай бұрын
I think that 100 years ago, food was not as processed as it it now, and some of it, is so ultra processed, its not the food it was prior to processing. We have changed the composition of it by processing. 100 years ago, there were no processed foods, only whole natural foods, so therefor very little issue with glucose or diabetes….just my opinion….

Ah! Traditional teaching said that the stomach churned food. It seems this is no longer known to be the case. The model now seems to be a syringe pushing food through. Vinegar used to be dismissed out of hand as an old wives tale. Glad someone actually decided to take a look.

I think I have cravings, but I clearly feel that by eating more sugary food I won't make the situation better, so I eat meat/eggs/vegetables after I get the cravings. And it ends them. I just feel that I have cravings, but sugary food is not nutrient dense enough to satisfy them. So it's weird, but I begin to eat healthy food right after I get a glucose spike, and I generally don't want to eat food with sugar at all, because it's nutrient poor food that doesn't satisfy me.
