Theres a big difference between Damian Lillard situation: - while he plays his ass off the team fails to put decent players around him year after year, most of the season it takes Lilard to go super sayan to even get to the playoffs and the rest of the roster doesnt show up. James Harden: - The Rockets gave this man everything he wanted, they dindt waste a single opportunity to improve the team and year after year this mans fails to get a title and imediatly went to strip clubs, Dwith Howard, Russel Westbrook, Chris Paul, 3 HOF and still in the end he walks out? If lebron had the same opportunitys some of this guy have he woudlnt leave Cleavelend.

A few things: 1) LeBron did not "pick" his teammates when he played in the 2007 Finals. 2) OG was correct. Antawn Jamison, at 33 years old, was traded to the Cavs mid-season in 2009-10. He was an All-Star only twice throughout his career and those selections were 3 seasons apart. 3) Mo Williams averaged 17 ppg in back-to-back seasons on terrible Bucks teams. His one and only All-Star selection was in 2009 when he was LeBron's teammate, and he was only named an All-Star because Chris Bosh was unable to play in the ASG.

Lebron hate by black men is rooted in slave mentality. I say that jokingly but nobody ever questions Steph’s two rings that he won with KD because the player (Steph) didn’t make that decision to get KD, the OWNER did. MJ had a real hand in developing Pip. You can’t zoom pass that. I understand everybody gets stuck in the ‘07-‘09 period of Bron’s career, we get it. He didn’t have a top 75 guy on his team. How many of those guys did Steph have this year? I believe the issue is that sometimes as the leader you have to find ways to maximize the talent around you. All those stories of MJ in practice were about finding out who belongs in the fox hole. As was mentioned earlier they didn’t have the luxury of saying ship out Andrew Wiggins (bc he’s not proven) & bring in K. Love (who was what…proven? Idk, I hear he wasn’t). I know to a lot of people MJ has been placed on a pedestal but as someone who grew up disliking that guy (Penny fan) I understand his acclaim. And in this particular leg of this debate it was about leadership. If you analyze things objectively you see who truly squeeze the most out of the “least”. This post is too long as is so I won’t go into each and every player but start comparing player to player (I.e. Craig Hodges, John Paxson, Steve Kerr to Boobie Gibson, Damon Jones, David Wesley, etc…) there’s more than just Pip & even if we stopped there MJ did more w/ him than Bron has with Wade/Kyrie. This argument is crazy
@jeffquinn65732 жыл бұрын
Pippen was a top 5 draft pick. You can’t give dudes hella credit for developing top 5 picks. The talent already there. They treat Pippen like he was drafted 25th. Besides if lebron plays with anyone drafted in top 5/10 is it not blasted as “too much help”?
@FamMoney5102 жыл бұрын
@@jeffquinn6573 Draft position is only half the battle. My statement about Jordan having a hand in developing Pippen isn’t just about his ability to play the game of basketball. Andrew Wiggins was the number 1 overall pick in the draft; LeBron chose to ship him out before trying to get anything out of him…but maybe that’s the fault of the front office. Anyway, when Pippen arrived in CHI he wasn’t the Pippen that made the top 50. Much like Wiggins in GS all that “talent” was untapped. CHI opponents are on record talking about the lack of respect they had for Pip. Had it been today Mike would’ve requested he be shipped out. Instead he chose to take advantage of the areas Pip was good and while he worked with him to improve his areas of weakness. Pippen gets a lot of credit for being the reason Jordan won and I understand the angle but I can’t delete from my memory the same Scottie Pippen in Portland with teams far more talented than any CHI team he played on failed to help win anything. With that being said: no player makes the NBA without talent. That’s a given. What this convo was really about was how star players interact with the talent on their teams. Some players choose to exile guys; some chose to abandoned guys; others choose to take what their given and find a way to get the best out of whoever’s around them.

@@ausar09 peace god, the context I was speaking from was being able to build a team through the draft and having the ability to pick players who went through the collegiate process that made players more mature and polished, instead of drafting on potential and waiting to see what you have in the time that the player could of been in college. There are always exceptions and even extreme disasters to use as examples but guys in the past time periods understood what they were playing for and had pride in the profession. There’s plenty of player movement but I would argue that many of these organizations and especially the players don’t develop a culture to build a “team” and rely on talent to win. It's that good and nasty Thang that Mike used to out weigh all other players. Then there is the analytics that you all seem to ignore where LeBron just gets crushed by Mike. I would have to disagree w/ LOW on the last 1:30 of the vid. Yes I can agree lebron didn’t have all time talent with the cavs when they won 66 games & before but for one u can’t take away their all star credibility when they performed great w/ other teams but if u notice every individual who was considered a all star benefit b4 they played w/ bron, soon as they play with him they don’t perform the same & that’s not brons fault or anyone else in the league fault for why they lost the playoffs. Which goes into my 2nd point once bron got these all stars around 08-10 (after Boston) they were the number one team in the league both seasons which includes the western conference so I believe lebron has to take accountability for just losing. I could understand arguing when he lost to the Celtics but losing to Orlando when both teams were healthy is no excuse. Especially when you considered their were only limited amounts of stacked teams everybody else was well balanced or trash. Then losing to the Mavs was no excuse then the spurs the 2nd time. Nobody was complaining when he was winning in Miami on 32 game win streaks but get to the finals and lose

The Miami stuff you're 100% right on. But the Cleveland stuff you're dead wrong. The "talent" in players like Jameson, when Cleveland acquired them, are vastly overrated. Jameson was an All-Star and putting up numbers on a Wizards team w/o a true superstar. It was by committee and empty stats on a losing team. Mo Williams was not that good and everyone else was unspectacular. When you watch how they performed when allowed to have their moments on those Cleveland teams you see how outclassed they were. When they lost to Orlando, LeBron was obviously the best player on the court, then Orlando had Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis, Hedo, and Nelson. Every one of those guys at that point were better than anyone else on Cleveland. It's not a surprise when you are beat by a team that has the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th best players in a series all together.

What’s funny is you say he’s dumb and Cleveland didn’t build around him but they had the following: 4 50+ win seasons, to include 2 60+ win seasons (08-09 season best record in NBA and 09-10 season best record in NBA) Mo Williams was an all star in the 08-09 season btw. 06-07 Finals appearance 2 out of 5 seasons had a NBA top 5 rated defense and 3 out 5 seasons had a top 10 defense during his tenure in Cleveland the first time. He also only beat one 50+ win team from 2003-2010. The fact is Cleveland gave LeBron a competent team he just couldn’t do anything with them.

I hate when people act like they were complete scrubs. It was actually a half decent squad. Hence why they had winning seasons. People make it sound like they were a 20 win team.

Tryna tell you his teams were good bro even great some years. They just see todays era where Mfs teaming up, and the evolution of the game where everyone (can/want) to do everything on the floor and act like Mfs wasn’t like that back then. Most the time Lebron the one who sold in the playoffs. Orlando, spurs

I had sports arguments this heated before too. I was in 8th grade back then though. I don’t know why grown men are getting this upset about sports, especially when all they’re doing is copy and pasting Skip and Shannon talking points anyway.

AD & Wade is the only ones I give LeBron as true HOF guys that are actually doing things to lead their to team to wins. The others…NO. They were putting up nice stats on teams that weren’t going anywhere and as the main guy they weren’t taking them anywhere.

The reason why people criticize lebron “taking his own career into his hands” is because as a player, not every player in the nba had the luxury to do that as well during the time lebron was doing it. The flaw people have in giving a lebron a pass for joint superstars is that, they compare lebron playing on a stacked team, to other greats playing on stacked teams. But the problem there, why compare those teams, lebron didn’t play them. Lebron played the teams in his era who didn’t get prepared for lebron to form a super team. So lebron gave himself a head start against the competition he faced after stacking his teams. So thereeeee is where lebron gave himself an advantage against Jordan. Jordan played teams in his era who stayed with their teams and the results are the results.

Bullshit ! Lebron played against the Big 3 SPURS of Duncan, Parker and Ginobili in 07, then against KG, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Rondo in 08, then against KD, Russ, Harden (3 futur MVP)+ 2x Block champ Ibaka, then 2 times against the Big 4 Spurs with Kawhi, then 2x against the Big 3 73-9 win Warriors and 2x against the Mega team with KD. And even the MAVS had a prime Dirk, an old Jason Kidd and the 2011 DPOY Tyson Chandler. Kobe also hadPau Gasol (Top 5 big man), Ron Artest (former DPOY) and great role players like Lamar Odom and Andre Bynum, then he had a prime fucking Dwight Howard and a 37 yo Steve Nash who was an all star the year before. Wade in 2005-2006 had Shaq, Alonzo Mourning and old Gary Payton, the Piston had 4x DPOY Ben Wallace, Chauncey Billup, Tayshaun Prince and Rasheed Wallce … People need to stop acting like there was no Big 3 or even Big 4 before the Lebron heat, and don’t tell le yeah but they were the first to do that with free agency because KG and Ray Allen went to Boston in 08 as free agent
