Additionally they did not fire the first shots. The marines did. They were firing in self defense. Which you either do in that situation or just stand there and get shot anyway. At least firing back you might have a small chance of having superior marksmanship and/or gaining an upper hand with suppressive fire. Just because someone has the high ground does not mean automatic victory.

I'm ex artillery reserve, shut the f**k up. There is nothing in dying, stop with the brainwash mentality, a battle loss is not a war loss, orders always needs to be questioned, thought through, process the information. Principles in keeping your soldiers alive. Honor comes in fighting, not suicide. Duty is for your country, your people, your family, your home, not for our leaders ambition, greed and self-righteousness. What is this nonsense that these men died for? US of freaking A has more than enough money to pay these Veterens, why are they pushing luck with our own weaponries? Our wars has been about gold, oil, drugs, bauxite, diamonds, cobalt and freaking hegemony. Talk again how dying for horseshit duty that wasn't threaten in the first place.

It's interesting to see how much Hollywood had accomplished in perpetuating the whole invincible Navy SEALs trope. Yes, training for the SEALs is absolute hell, like most people can't even fanthom how high the bar is set for the human body and spirit. Every SEAL who earned their wings did so with effort most people would consider inhumane, and they have the skills to back it up. That being said, the position also came with unchecked egos and gross inflation of what would otherwise be already impressive-enough achievments on their own. On record, there had been a fair amount of absolute clusterf*cks the SEALs had taken part in and the aftermath is usually riddled with misinformation and glory-seeking. There's is a reason that service members always joke about ppl joining the SEALs only to write a book.

My top three over the top WTF? unbelievable late '80's early 90's scenes.... 3. Lethal Weapon 2 - Riggs winning bets getting out of a straightjacket and the the baddies throwing him overboard in (naturally) a straightjacket? Let's just call it a coincidence.... 2. Die Hard - McClane falling 3-4 floors in an air duct then catching on by his fingertips 1. Speed - Well what else, it has to be the 50ft bus jump defying the laws of gravity doesn't it? Of course others might have a totally different list, but these are mine 🤩

It's a good movie, Sean Connery is great. But I like "Con Air" better. "The Rock" tends to take itself a little too seriously. 😆 fun reaction Ladies.

This is basically stuff for two movies. I could watch Nicolas Cage chasing Sean Connery or them both freeing alcatraz for two hours each. Good job girls :)
