Iv got a 2016 one of these with 82000 miles on the clock and just had a bill of £2300 for a head gasket repair that caused the cylinder head to be replaced completely as well as valves, glow plugs broke off, head bolts snapped. It was a complete nightmare

have one of these wet belt engines in a 350 transit ,have been advised to do oil and filter every 3000 miles ,any longer and the belt will degrade and start to block the oil pickup in the sump this starves the engine of oil and will wreck it😫

Mine failed 3 weeks ago 158000 KM I can asure you it is an interference engine for sure. Rest in pieces.

เพิ่งเห็นคลิปนี้ ณ.ที่ผมตอบอยุ่นี้4/6/62 และผมก็ใช้เครื่องรุ่นนี้อยุ่ ชื่อเรนเจอร์2.0 ปัจจุบันปัญหาเยอะมากหลักๆคือเกียร์ดัง วิ่งไม่ถึงหมื่นโล นมค.หาย3-4ลิตรไม่รุ้หายไปไหนช่างให้คำตอบไม่ได้ช่างไม่มีความรุ้เรื่องรุ่นนี้เลย ส่งเรื่องไปทางสนง.ใหญ่ก็เงียบไม่มีคำตอบ เฉพาะกลุ่มผมที่รวมตัวกันในไลน์300กว่าคันนมค.หายทุกคันที่วิ่งเกิน5000โล เข้า0ช่างแค่เติมน้ำมันแล้วก็ออกมาวิ่งก็หายอีก ขอทางฟอร์ดไทยแลนด์ออกมาชี้แจงแก้ไขดำเนินการด้วยครับ

I've heard a 'rumor' that this engine is the worst engine that Ford have ever had in a Transit. There is certainly a lot of vans at the dealers waiting for engines and various parts. Even a the PSA (Peugeot and Citroen) dealers you have Boxers and Relays with the same Ford supplied engine broken down and sat waiting for engines and parts. BE VERY CAREFUL FOLKS

You can see that the casting has the Pug & Citroen signs + FoMoCo (Ford motor company). So my thought train was that because the engine from late 16 had changed to a 2.0 at the same time as the Transit did and the Boxers and Relays use to use the 2.2 Pume engine to Sept 16 i thought that the engines for the PSA's also changed to the 2.0 Ford again ??

@@DoubleA115 Nope PSA Sevel platforms have never been fitted with the Panther engine. The new PSA engine in 2016 was their own Blue HDi exclusively designed at their Tremery plant. "With design constantly focused on robustness and quality that stands up to use, they are now being fitted with new Euro 6 BlueHDi engines which have been designed and produced entirely by the PSA Group." The Ecoblue Panther is exclusive to Ford fitted from 2017 available in 130 or 170 ps. The partnership extension was for the smaller DVR produced by PSA. I was at the presser in Rennes back in 2015 and had a tour of their Douvrin production facility when the expansion plans were announced a month beforehand. PSA dropped their alliance with Ford for diesels of 2.0 and above. Ford chose a totally different 'clean sheet' route after their Renault disaster.

50 seconds in, my eyebrows went with alarm bells ringing in my head. A Belt in the engine! What a great idea Really ?????????????????? Why can't Ford just drop in a lazy 4.0 liter six cylinder long motor and a simple automatic transmission. Take a leaf out of a japanese manufacturers design principles.
