Perfect timing on this video, as today my flex pipe just did the same thing yours did. Ignoring the length problem, did you have to use the coupler because the pipes on each side of the original flex were different sizes? Or was the new flex you had on hand differently sized on each end? It kind of looks like the "engine" side of the original pipe is a little smaller than the "rear" side.

The new coupler is 2 in on both sides the pipes on the car are slightly different on each end.

The whole exhaust is 2” after the flex pipe yeah? Just need to do some repairs after the flex pipe on a family members car and am not near the car to measure diameter to order pipe. TIA !

is each end of the flex pipe 2 inch? I have the same car and need to do the same thing. I do not have a welder either. can I use muffler clamps? any advice I appreciate. Thank you

Both sides are 2 inch inner diameter. Muffler clamps may be difficult to use due to the lack of space. You would need more area to slip the pipe over the other, it may be possible but you would need multiple adapter pipes. Thanks for watching!
