THANK YOU SO MUCH. Was doing glow plugs and took the egr motor off to remove the manifold easier but some jerkoff messed with the position of the lobe while it was off and i couldnt get it back on. Here i could see the exact position and it went right in. 5 stars 🤘

Verygood video! But when it said its time to remove the intake manifold and used a pair of wrenches to remove a rear bolt, I changed my mind to calling my mechanic let him watch this and just buy him some beer😅

been watching for the this video on how to remove the egr valve. I 've done mine at 60K+ odo but unfortunately wasn't able to remove the egr valve because of that one(1) nut that i could not access considering the space constraint. hopefully i could remove it, diy next time..:).. thanks for the video sharing sir. Hi took the ranger 2012 2.2 diesol to mechanic to replace glow plugs,plugs came out easy and put the motor back together i drove it for couple of hours and engine light came on ,code was p042f egr valve closed ,called the mechanic he wasnt much help stated could delete the egr all together . any suggestions would be appreciated .also great video.

I have a 2016 Ranger. The engine management light came on firstly a bout 6 months ago but the mechanic cancelled it out as he said it was possibly a sticking EGR valve. I an see from your video that it was a buggar of a job and an easy fix just to cancel out the codes. Months later (2 days ago) the same happened again. (He cancelled out the code). What do you suggest? 120 000km on the clock. I use Premium diesel and service the Ranger every 6 months. Should i have the EGR valve serviced or replaced? Can i use a Diesel intake cleaner to help free up the sticking valve?

Sir gudday i watch ur video and i learnd removed egr and intake manifold.. but i've had some problem when i put back all the components parts.. when i turn on the ignition 30 secs 4x then i start the engine it will start but few seconds the engine shutdown.. i remove the fuel line from filter and no fuel bleeding come out.. could you help find the problem sir.. thank you and godbless sur

Hi! When you turn on the ignition, listen if you can hear the in-tank pump working. If it does, check for loose fuel pipes.

I have a 2019 3.2 ranger with 18000 miles on the clock & I've seen a lot of KZbins about egr & coolers failing do I need to be concerned??

Not really. Just have your EGR cleaned every 40k miles. 1st sign of egr cooler failure (internal coolant leak) would be white smoke on startup. But this usually happens on a few high mileage units. We’ve had 3.2 rangers in our shop with 200k+ miles on them but still have perfectly working egr/cooler. If ever this happens to you, either replace the cooler or just bypass the coolant hoses to the cooler and blank the egr on the exhaust end - you’ll need a tuner who can also disable the EGR on the ecu for this.

Hi brother, simply put it back in place and top up the coolant reservoir upon starting the vehicle. Make sure to let the coolant system “bleed” for a while or to let the air bubbles escape while idling. Drive the vehicle around for 10-15mins then recheck the coolant level and top-up if necessary.

Hi, you can use engine degreaser on the manifold & egr valve then rinse with a power washer. Just make sure to remove the sensor on the manifold and the egr motor. Use an electronic parts cleaner or Maf sensor cleaner on the throttle body.
