Now I am wondering. Here in germany the Diagnostic monitores have ti have a stupidly high solution (and are expensive 15000€ for some 25 zoll monitor) and have to be controlled for correct display every year. You are not even allowed to diagnose x-ray pictures of everything else. Isnt that in the USA the same? True it is no x-ray picture and the write could very probably not know if there is a law but I am still interested

You know what produces a lot more spike proteins than the vaccine? Covid infection, at least the vaccine is limited as it doesn't cause your cells to produce more copies of the mRNA, just the spike protein, but the virus keeps on replicating over and over until the body develops antibodies and gets it eliminated, or you die.

@magatmilan8925 it is used to mean irregular heartbeat in medicine, but I was joking about the language of arrythmia, a meaning without, so without rhythm. Technically you can have hypokenisis of a part of the heart wall, which is what he saw (or akenisis if you want to be super specific), without having an arrythmia, just as long as it doesn't affect the electrical pathway of the heart (i.e. SA node, internodal fibers, AV node, bundle of His, bundle branches, and purkinje/terminal fibers) but thats a symptom that is frequently seen in Echocardiograms in a patient with heart failure. I work on a cardiac telemetry unit and the majority of my patients present with this, which makes House more funny to me for making it seem like such a revolutionary finding that needed HD imaging to discover lol. If you gotta blow it up that big to see it, its not a big deal

I've never watched an episode of House but from what I've seen in shorts it's about this guy that's always right, but works with people who always tell him he's wrong
@iforbot7732

Watching shorts is not watching the show. The show is good, comedy is great even today (sometimes the jokers are even better as they aged well) and lack of context in these shorts generates this kind of comments. House is in almost every episode wrong, or partially wrong after all that's why he chooses, or is given the cases to begin with (House can diagnose normal cases without trying all sherlock style, hence why he finds them boring) His team are literally there to help House via brainstorming ideas and try to correct him, tell him he's wrong and helping him find the answer more quickly, as he sometimes misses the obvious as he thinks to far out of the box sometimes.

House be representing the mind's eye of the brain in this clip. He noticed first but because everyone else is focused on something else, they don't see the problem right away. The zooming in was the getting the rest of the senses to try to focus harder and pay attention, to consciously make them more aware of what it already knew. Just takes time for the conscous part to catch on.

When I saw the notification that you’d posted a video I gasped out loud lol. In the intervening years, I’ve played several of your videos so much, and I’d like to thank you for the onsen check in video, the journey to japan video, and the fallout “real estate agent” videos. Many times they helped me fall asleep when I was having sleep issues. The calm and whimsy and creativity you exude in each video has been cherished ❤️

fun fact that partially explains both houses position and how his patients can afford him. In the show he is seen choosing the cases he wants based on their difficulty, so the pool he is choosing from is usually people who have already seen multiple doctors with no results. So they likely have the disposable income. Cutty sometimes waives the charges to use those cases as promotional pieces for donors to show the amazing work they do at the hospital, essentially saying "look we did what no other doctors could, and we do this on a regular basis." And as in the real world those donors occasionally get sick and get special treatment so they keep funding the hospital. House is a show piece for the hospital, no other hospital wants him because they don't see the benefit when they have to deal with all the other issues he brings. So yea, rich patients or ones who get their bills paid for them are usually the only ones that can afford house and his team.

I mean the point of his jokes were that they were offensive even back then. the whole point *was* that he said something and someone else in the room would go "omg why would you *say* that". in order for that dynamic between him and everyone else to work at all it must be clear that what he says is offensive within the culture he lives in and the only reason he gets away with it is that he is played by Hugh Laurie who has enough charisma to commit one and a half hate crimes per month and we'll all just roll our eyes and say fondly "oh House you quirky man you"
@gagetaylor192

@@TheyMadeMePickAName It's not because of his charisma. It's that people know House doesn't discriminate or hate any particular group of people. It's up to the individual receiving the remark whether or not they're offended by it.
