I don't believe Scarlett agreed to have sex with that guy. I don't believe his story at all. I think when she turned him down he attacked her and finished by brutally murdering her. What was the reason for the stabbing? Saying she made fun of him was just a ploy. And even if she did, which I think is most unusual, how did that excuse him hurting her? Should have got much longer in my opinion. RIP Scarlett.

That's your belief.I believe that part of his story.Why?. Because U as a woman don't hang out in a motel room alone at 3 am in the morning after a drinks party, with a man who happens to be an acquaintance when everyone has gone and left already. Clearly there's something going on. In this case once she rejected him due to his poor performance, he went berserk.

To give a murderer only 12 years for his crime, is a miscarriage of justice. This killer should have gotten a stronger sentence at least, 35 years if not life without parole. Anyone who take a life, deserves to be incarcerated for the rest of their natural life. This man, Boyer, will be out someday after he completes his sentence, and will be free walking the streets again; where Miss Wood is deceased and never, ever will comeback to this life again. Judges are ridiculous in their sentences to criminals, they are disgusting and outrageous. It makes very angry.

It all comes down to what they're able to prove to the jury in court. Scarlett's body was exposed to the elements for so long that when her remains were discovered nearly every bit of evidence had been lost to time and the elements. They only get one chance at conviction so have to go with what they can prove. I hate the 12 year sentence also, but it's better than the guy still walking the streets completely unpunished for Scarlett's murder.

He probably only got 12 years because the victim's family didn't want to go to full court proceedings, and advised the DA to accept a deal. If they had stood their ground, this animal would likely be behind bars for the rest of his natural life. Seeing that her mother is battling cancer, I can somehow understand if she was reluctant to pursue a lengthy and emotionally punishing trial. At any rate, that is the reason for the abysmal sentence.

16 years have since passed so I'm sure he's out now. Mrs Wood looks good so I'm hoping she may have received a liver transplant since. It won't take the place of the loss of her daughter.

Please Ladies - another poor victim out partying late at night. If only she had gone home with her friends, rather than stay later with the killer. Boyer was a big fat loser. Booze and late nights have a propensity to not end well. And her Mother had a premonition. God bless them. May she RIP.

How come her body was not discovered by anyone for 18 months? And that 12 year sentence is nothing for the amount of work put into this case and considering he was roaming free killing other people in the meantime
