I knew Michael Bryant from Kendall and was on fire brigade with him. I remember his house burning down and his dog was still in the house. He had a corvette that burned up. I heard he had another house that 3:47 flooded and he got a huge settlement. The story talks about him being married. Only thing is no one knew he was married. His wife worked 3rd shift with him at the plant. He was definitely living 2 lives and had a dark side.

With regard to the investigators saying "why would anyone keep a movie stub and restaurant receipt?" Well most people end up keeping them but not for any particular reason. You go to the movies, the usher tears off the ticket and hands you back the stub. You stick it in your pocket and forget about it. You go to eat, pay your bill and shove the customer copy of the bill in your wallet. You end up finding the movie stub in the pants when doing laundry, could be a week later and you forget all about the dinner receipt. Watching this video caused me to look in my wallet and amazingly I have a couple restaurant receipts in there I forgot all about. One is 6 months old. LOL.

Rather than it being strange to keep movie stubs (plural, to show a habit), I believe the prosecutor found it a bit peculiar that the guy only had one ticket stub, showing an indication that it wasn't a habit for him. Granted, going to the theater could've been extremely rare for him in general, but he kept just one stub and one restaurant in storage, for safe keeping, which paired with his reaction to the news of the fire, made him suspicious.

To be fair, I’ve tried to keep every movie ticket stub I’ve gone to since I was twelve; but I guess that means the opposite might be suspicious in my case, if I said I went to a movie for an alibi but have no idea where the ticket stub would be or if I “threw it away”. Although in his case he was attempting to establish an alibi here, it’s really interesting still to think about how little or trivial some of the stuff is that will get you caught.

most killers murdered in the false hope that they would not be found out. this feeling of 'hope' not to be implicated in any form or shape and 'hope' to explain themselves out of the suspicion is in itself a torture too overbearing to carry even in secret. I do believe that one could kill a person in a fit of rage but a preplanned or calculated killing is way too clear to be acquitted or exempted from the act. So, a person committing murder rightly deserved to be sentenced accordingly.

Edith Ann Haynes should have gone through a real estate to sell her house and not the way she did it with an unscrupulous man. Michael Bryant never intended to give the balance money to Edith, and her mistake was not having someone else present when the transaction took place which costed her life. This poor lady was trying to sell her home, retire and keep enjoying life but came across to a crook, shady, and criminal man that killed her for no reason at all. Michael Bryant took advantage of Edith knowing she was living alone and saw the opportunity to commit a crime. A true senseless murder from a low life individual who is now in prison for a long time. May Edith Ann Haynes Rest in Peace always 🙏 I hope Michael Bryant still in prison, he should have gotten life without parole.

11:20 Actually, a lot of people hold on to their receipts for many reasons such as personal or household budgeting/accounting, business expense tracking, general accounting purposes, rebates, coupons, etc. Seriously, I thought prosecutors were supposed to be smart... Honestly, what does she think the purpose of receipts are? Although some people immediately throw them away, most people hold on to them for awhile. The fact that she thinks that is somehow suspicious makes me suspicious of how she became a prosecutor in the first place. She probably "worked" her way to the top using the same "strategy" that Kamala Harris used when she became a prosecutor lol.

He burned down his own house and car when he was married and committed insurance fraud. I'm surprised he didnt take out a low payout life insurance policy on the victim, too. It would have been the lesser of two evils to pay her the money, get her to move out and commit the same home insurance fraud. Houses can be replaced, people cannot.

It's not "inconceivable" for someone to keep a movie stub. I once found a concert ticket on my car that I went to a year prior...

Tragic yet good forensics got it's guy. There's many like him out there that live beyond their means & resort to crimes. Hopefully he will rot in a jail cell.

I find it senseless to kill a lady for $25k, anyone can work and save for it in a couple or three years rather than to lose your freedom, be jailed and earn nothing! Hard earned money is way better than easy ones.

Yep, if the caller had mentioned the woman had died, that’d have been one thing. Then his reaction would’ve been appropriate. If he’d been innocent, he wouldn’t have gotten that emotional. Concerned, yes.

@@jimmyohara2601 yes, I do. We dont get that many though where I'm at. It wouldn't matter too much even if we did, because there's a bunch of trees here. We had one last spring about 5 miles where I live. It knocked down branches and tree's. 🌳 I believe it knocked out some powerlines, as well. ⚡
