Franken, schooling Gorsuch on his ruling in the trucker case is one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen. Franken was absolutely brilliant.

Regarding what Franken would've said to Gorsuch if he had a second chance, "You're lying. This was your chance to become a Supreme Court Justice. Couldn't you [Gorsuch] have just said, 'Well, let me answer it this way. Look at who sent me." I don't understand what Franken said. Can you explain this to me, please?

I've never seen this footage. Just found it now of Al questioning Neil Gorsuch including about the trucking case. He warned us that the Trump was appointing justices to the Supreme Court who would overturn Roe v. Wade and that MAGA politicians wanted Gorsuch on the Supreme Court to overrule the Chevron doctrine. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2ioZHWYbp2ogdk

He stepped down for his sexual comments towards a sevice member. He was publicly humiliated. If a Republican did that you would chastize them. Without double standards, Democrats would have no standards at all. Im a MAGA man and proud of it. I always liked Al Franken from back in the SNL days. I don't hate him for his politics. I just don't agree.
@michaelganshirt8795

@patricksullivan7140 if this happened to a maga republican he would first say it was just locker room hyjinks, then he would outright deny that it ever took place (despite the video evidence) and then claim it was a fake from the "deep state". Franken should have apologized for the obvious stupid transgression and remained in the senate. Go gaslight someone else.
@evaadams8298
@evaadams8298 2 ай бұрын
@@patricksullivan7140And there lies the difference, a MAGA can do anything he or she likes and people just say “Oh that’s ok that was ages ago”, whereas the Dems have a bit of decency and morals. That comment of your Orange Buffoon saying “When you are a Star you can get away with anything, even grabbing….” We in the rest of the world where healthcare is free as well as everyone has to pay taxes, even billionaires, cannot believe that any normal person would vote for Trump or any of his party who obviously kiss Trumps ring! I particularly love the Republicans Govenors who are endorsing Harris/Walz, they seem to have grown a spine and maybe will be seen on the “Right side of History”…

I'm over 70 and praying for a Democratic majority up and down the ballot. You should acknowledge that under President Biden, the economy has made huge progress in turning things around from the disaster of trump. To keep us on track to normalcy and a continuing improving economy, the only choice is Harris/Walz. We also need to restore the rights of all our citizens including women and LGBTQ people. To do that, we need a majority in the House and Senate as they are the legislative body that can move the bills through to the president to become law.
@coreyham3753

@@rhondah1587 Well stated. Harris is making a mistake in saying she will not be a continuation of the Biden administration. She should acknowledge that she will continue with the significant accomplishments that Biden started, such as Chips Act, infrastructure, drug pricing, etc. However she should add that she intends to add to that with significant new directions as well. Such as comprehensive income tax reform, comprehensive immigration reform, reform of the Supreme Court, and other important issues.

Listening to how this exchange between Gorsuch and Franken is described, it doesn’t give it justice. Franken gave Gorsuch homework on the law. He came back the next day like a whipped puppy. From a Brit living in France; i loved the heavy use of irony to help lift the spirit a little. I implore you American citizens to vote to avoid losing the chance in future. I know the cost, I, along with 3 million other UK citizens were denied the vote in the 2016 referendum to leave the European Union in which 32% of UK citizens aged 18+ voted to leave resulting in Brexit as a result of extensive sophistry from amongst others, Rupert Murdoch' controlled UK media. We have now been given the right to vote but it is too late, I will be long buried before the UK can rejoin. Avoid a similar loss and pain, defeat Trump.

Fun fact: Trump's uncle John G. Trump who taught engineering at MIT was the guy who was tasked with evaluating Tesla's papers. He looked at them for 2 days and then proclaimed them garbage with no value at all. When the government returned the crates of his papers to Tesla's family, approximately 20 boxes were missing. Bet there is a story here?

In an old episode of "Trackdown," a con artist named Walter Trump tells a small town that the world will end at midnight, but he, and he alone, can save them by building a wall. It's as if his most quixotic displays are just his shoehorning a current situation into something he was tremendously impressed by as a child.

@@cdorman11 It's as if he sees a bad idea and then finds an even worse way to apply it. Hugo Chavez tried to overthrow the Venezuelan gov't. Then he ran for office and the Venezuelan people elected him! We thought that was nuts, but Trump must have looked at that and thought, "Yeah, that's not a bad idea."

Given the current political climate and state of the Republican party, it grieves me even more that Senator Al Franken felt he had to do the "right thing" and resigned his position. The Senate really needs him. It was such a loss for us pro-democracy supporters.

Watching from Romania. We have complete confidence that the Americans - to whom we have looked for so many years as a model in terms of common sense, democracy and freedom and from whom we have learned so much as nations (we, those of Eastern Europe) will not abdicate now , after 250 years of continuous efforts on this path, from the direction they have been going unwaveringly for so long and that they will not be ashamed themselves by electing a senile dictator because such an election would mean not only the end of America as a beacon of the Free World but also the end of the values promoted by it , in which we believe so much!

@@istorie-filmedearhiva9832 In 5th grade, I actually did a report on Romania. I kind of cheated because I had my mom cook this desert recipe to share with the class. I could not cook anything substantial by myself back then. It turned out amazing. I got alot of compliments and I received an A on the report. I don't remember the name of the dish. It was so long ago.

Come on Al its time for you to get back in office. Sanity is such a rare thing in the senate! It's interesting that when a republican has a politically incorrect moment, it's held with high honors and accolades, but a democrate the same, it's a crisis! What a double standard.
