The potential of it being a burrow inhabiting species sounds similar to the Pygmy Bluetongue thought to be extinct in Australia Records showing it once lived in Adelaide Hills but no longer existing persisted for quite a while. Then they were found living in spider burrows around Burra in South Australia. The researches us a fishing rod (without a hook) and tie an insect onto it and fish down the spider burrow to Catch the skink and bring it out for research purposes. colonies living over the hillside were found. This skink although larger may live very similar.
