Hi Dave, great vid but having no luck with canceling chimes, got the free extension, went into the correct areas and got a Disabled sign come through but still hearing that chime when keys in and door open? 😢John

There are some sections of the Forscan software that require you to register like installing a new stereo that requires coding to the vehicle. It is totally worth it, just wish there was something that can tell me what all the modules do that come up. :)

Hi there, I've just purchased a new ACM (Audio Control Module) that needs configuring, will I be able to set it using Forscan? I just need to change the radio frequencies as they are stepping in odd decimals, I need even decimals 91.60, 94.00fm etc not 91.50 and 94.10fm

I purhcased the most recent forscan and paid 10 dollars for a 1 yr license. i have a 2021 ford ranger lariat 4wd. I puchased the new knob with the terrain mgt button in the center and easily installed. now i am trying to enable the "selectable drive mode" and it is not there. i think they changed the name?? very confused. I would love some help. thank you.

This model in the vidoe is a PX2. PX & PX1 doesn't have dual battery mode.

Hey mate so i have downloaded everything and have got the license but i dont have the options to turn the chimes off, i dont have the option to go in to the ipm cause i have the updated version of the one you do.

Two suggestions mate. 1. Do you have a switchable cable? With high can and low can? 2. Jump on the ForScan forum and make contact with the developer, I'm sure they'll have the older versions available. I even contacted them for the dual battery mode stuff and they went above and beyond to sort it out for me in a beta version! Superb service from them.

the ford ranger up to 2014 doesnt have any hs modules in it so you can do it all with the ms normal speeds..

Great video thanks for info... has anyone else had this problem.. 2017 3.2 occasionally the heated screen comes on (on its own) then throttle goes jerky and it sounds like a big end bearing rattling or firing of 4 cylinders... then a min or two it's back to normal? Had the wiring loom upgrade and it did it before and after? Cant find fault anywhere and no one I ask knows what it is, surely I dont have the ONLY one that does this? Only had it 3 month 😔

Great video. Can the tyre pressure sensors be turned off entirely? I’ve got a second Set of wheels without TPMS sensors so it would be very useful…

Yes. But you lose (weirdly) the engine temp gauge on the display cluster as a side effect. 🤔

Honestly not sure, simply because of the age. Most now have a separate airbag module which I don't believe something at this price point will do.

Not a video, but I have seen this. I think it was in the BdyCM module. Its a "tyre diameter in mm" or similar setting. 🤔

I'm pretty sure the injector size is done in the ECU map so no I dont believe ForScan will do this.

No I dont believe there is. There are universal remote start kits but last time I enquired with my insurer it was uninsurable... 😔

Ive never seen any kind of actual “load” you can put on a vehicle with forscan.. you would have to physically go back into each module and change the individual options…. If you can load tunes than id like to know how.. it took me forever to unbrick my shit.. but i accidentally forgot to switch the as built data and put a decimal in when i was increasing the flow on the injectors.. instead of +5 psi it tried to pur 50psi.. burned the fuel pump, hydrolocked the motor and killed most of the inhectors and since it killed the motor while i was in the as built it bricked the ecm.. had to reflash it and all…. Lol…

Yeah mines black. It's one thing I can't stand in the others is the lighter headlining. Even the early wildtraks have them. I have asked thorntons before for a cost of a black one for someone else and it was like 400quid.

Honestly, not sure if they share the same ECU and flash. If so then yes. Youd still have to choose Ranger in ForScan though I'd imagine.

No Jason. My cable is a USB one but you can get the BT one and an app for your phone. I had an in car PC in my old Focus ST that had all this realtime data on the touchscreen head unit. Was very nerdy 🤣
