His mom saved his life. Although, she bit off his tail because of the stressful situation she was in, still, that saved his life. Thank you for taking care of this beautiful boy and I hope he goes on to live a wonderful happy life.

I think you are right, but also she might have known. Animals are very smart. Maybe the fox caught on to the fact they were being raised for slaughter, or saw them cutting off the tails from dead foxes. She might have known what they wanted based on her memory of what happened to the other cubs and removed what they coveted.

I've always said Foxes act more like a cat than a canine. No tail, sounds like he's a rescue from a fur farm. The Mother's literally groom the kits tails off due to stress.

They should be! It's millions of dollars, so they don't care about the animals involved. There's many different kinds of animals involved in fur farms as well.

Problem is. Even though one country makes it illegal. Most of these people just move their farms to a neighbour country or so to avoid the law and then continuing..

You would think so, but no. There's another KZbin channel called SAVE A FOX. It's a Fox sanctuary and more, created and run by an incredible young woman named Mikayla, her husband, a few employees and many volunteers. She also has a facility in Florida. Mikayla actually did a fundraiser to BUY THE LOCAL FUR FARM! Since then she's saved and placed hundreds of foxes to new homes or facilities. She makes videos of them touching ground and being able to run and play for the first time. They are a joy to watch. She has a house fox pet, but he is I think, an African Sand fox? Very tiny, huge ears and litter trained. The average fox, even when raised as a tiny baby, is not suitable for indoors as they will spray, pee, poo and be quite destructive.

Since it was not explained, when animals are kept in very small spaces (fur farm) they go insane and will injure or kill the others they are stuffed in with because of it. Its a terrible existence.
