Depending on the variety, hydrangeas get huge. You are planning to put a hydrangea right near a window. Eventually you will not be able to trim it without unbalancing the shape in order to get a view out that window. Love your plants. My nasturtium seeds got eaten twice by a bold squirrel. He jumped into my pot right in front of me, dug the seeds up and flicked his tail in satisfaction. I yelled at him and he ran off with bulging cheeks! Going to try AGAIN! No flowers yet on my double pink reblooming azalias. The plant is twice as big as last year. I'm impatient for flowers, but my Martha Washington Geraniums and regular old bright pink ones are blooming like crazy. I have kalanchoes in bloom too, red ones and a pot full of succulents about to flower too. But my ficus tree takes up a bunch of room. I only have a balcony which is partly shaded by the crown of two palm trees. I'm jealous of all your land! Foxes might be like cats. They are most active at dawn and dusk. When it rains the sky darkens it energises them. That might be what you are seeing. That's not to say that fixes are totally inactive at other times. Just thinking outloud. No expert here!

The wind alerts them to the scent of many prey and the rain and darkness act as a cover.

Again i highly recommend epsom salt for the plants especially the roses. 1tablespoon per gallon or sprinkle around the base of the plant especially roses since they are heav feeders

You can put cardboard on the bottom of your garden beds to act as a “weed guard”! :)

Your garden is looking so pretty and in a few months when some of the flowers have grown it’s going to look stunning. I’m so glad Mr Fox didn’t catch the chickens poor little things I know he’s hungry but hope he can find some berries to eat instead

Lot of work but worth it 👌 it look great. I've been doing the same and going to pickup some Azalea put out front and would love to put them in the main yard but they are poisonous to dog every part of the plant which sucks. That fox is bold you need a paint ball gun and tag its butt 😆

I heard the mourning dove, my ears know them well, as we used to have two white ones as pets. Your storm and chimes sound lovely! And your ability to get so much done in such short time WHILE taking care of dogs etc etc, how do you even have time for sleep?

Rachel, Rachel...been watching you for years...now you got opportunity; you seem to have a green thumb so why not go for something you could harvest? Most could be natural for your surroundings (awesome awesome, property, I am amazed) but some could benefit you as well as the dogs as as a (free) supplement (everything is good as long as you can grow it for basically free)if you need some suggestions in that dept (which i doubt) just let me know through this chat
