He have been guided by his mother and her boyfriend with this SovCit shit. His mother knew that if she took the stand - she would put both DB and her selves under the bus - so no go from her. I don't think that DB ever asked his mother to testify - phone calls would tell - but the prosecution didnt want this evidense to be shown.

In spite of his mom’s and her boyfriend’s negative influences, he was held to account for his sociopathic choices and behaviors.

After a certain point, you have to trust that the record will show you gave him every opportunity to put on his case, do the right thing and let the chips fall. One could argue that by his behavior, he qualifies for a mental evaluation and treatment for his condition. His mother asked for this approach. I am sure the court noticed that Books heard the Judge's comments about "him reading a book" , as she immediately raised what he was reading above him head. Proving to an appellate court, that Brooks can hear the Judge without headphones ! This is proof that Brooks has delayed the court repeatedly arguing he could not hear the Judge .

His mother was going to come in today to testify that there her vehicle had been recalled. This is a miscarriage of justice and the judge knows it.

He's lying about not being able to hear! This is HIS case, in which he literally said that his life is on the line! No matter which room he's in, he should be paying the utmost attention and want to know everything the judge is saying. If he is truly having trouble hearing, he should notify everyone ASAP. Instead, he pretends to read a book.

Something I noticed that I haven't seen commented on is that when he was arrested, they asked him his name and he said his name was Brooks. Later they asked him again and he said his name was "Darrell Brooks". So why he thinks he doesn't have to answer to that name in the courtroom is beyond me.

I saw another case on YT where a guy argued the same defence saying his mother birthed and gave him the name of Asher something.. and he spelt it out as capital A, lowercase s etc.. Those who've had to be present every day and been subject to his constant accusations, demands, verbal abuse and have seen eyewitness testimony by the survivors, detectives, DAs, Court staff, Judge Dorow, even Fox Camera crew, and especially jurors are going to have PTSD when this is over! We have an inmate in Australia who was particularly nasty to a young lad. The other inmates look after him by saving up honey and jam and giving it to him. It is at boiling point, and thrown through the bars, but I think that's quite nice.

"..knowledgably comment...," I identify to the reader that I am not trained in the law and my comments should be evaluated in that light. "...seems to me..." but as a lay person I thought what I heard was great. Now, as to my thoughts on how she got the job, frankly I do not know. Is the judiciary elected or appointed in Wisconsin? I don't know. Before being a judge what was Judge Dorow's background and experience? I do not know. How long has Judge Dorow been on the bench? I do not know. So before replying to others posts in a way that implies some deficiency in that posters thinking, why not do a first post expressing wholly your own thoughts on a topic. That would be the difference between half-cocked and fully cocked.

It is impossible to conduct an orderly, professional trial with his antics constantly taking attention away from the business at hand. This is about control. His absolute refusal to answer her questions, while forcibly asking his own over and over again, is an attempt to break down her resolve and take control of the conversation. When she doesn't allow him to do that, he becomes angry and throws tantrums. Every time it is demonstrated to him that he is not in control of the proceedings, his composure crumbles and he behaves like a spoiled child. At the end of the video he keeps bringing up "subject matter jurisdiction", asking her to give her name, telling him her name, essentially he is telling her, "If you're not going to play the sovreign citizen game, I won't cooperate."

Asshats representing themselvez and fucking with the court aren't new let alone rare.

Just imagine being a juror, getting paid less than $5 an hour when you could be working and paying your bills. I would be PISSED at the time this piece of garbage is wasting.

It’s according to one’s location, but I was paid $12 per day and that income is taxed by the IRS, so one must file a 1099 for that income on their end of year income tax filing. I think Wisconsin pays a whopping $16 per day. In my area it is rare that the Employer pays their employee’s salary while serving as a juror, but your unpaid absence is excused while serving and will not count against your work record. You are still responsible for paying your health insurance premiums and other deductions like uniforms , life insurance, etc that you have through your Employer. (the deductions that are normally subtracted from your earnings). It is one’s civic duty to serve on a duty and insuring a fair trail for all by a jury of your peers IS considered the payment. It clearly isn’t the $12 a day, which hardly pays the gas to get the juror to the courthouse, a cheap lunch, then back home every day. I think Federal Court pays jurors $50. per day. Just sayin’.

Let see how will he behave with other inmates he will not be able to control them they are going to control him. He will not be able to use this games with other killers in jail.
