Little to add to your comment. Every single detail mentioned by Frank makes perfect sense and would improve this already wonderful car. I agree especially with the ideas about the window line (eliminating that ridiculously superfluous black plastic bit) and the rear lamps, which should be round - single or double, who cares?At present they look like contrived sunglass designs.
@paulj98213 жыл бұрын
@@DrMacCandless The thing is guys, Ferrari has some of the best designers in the world. They aren't stupid and are well aware that people will take issue with certain design ques. Personally I dislike the modern Ferrari look. The 458 design was iconic and will go down in history as one of Ferrari's best but they whored that look out for over 10 years. Sadly the new direction they have gone towards is very disappointing to me and many other Ferrari enthusiasts. Also the headlights in both this model and the Sf90 are atrocious. Good stuff - the "after" renderings were so much better to my eyes. Amazing to see how Frank only needs to draw one or two lines to get the point across, just a quick stroke here or there...amazing. The difference at the front with the subtle change to the intake was sooo much greater than I expected. For me, the back lights should be lower - more 250LM than 458, and the exhaust needs a complete rethink - it belongs on a Lamborghini, not a Ferrari! It's fascinating to watch this stuff. Cheers Frank!

Great Review. Loved most of the "Frank" improvements and the renderings you have done explained your logic brilliantly. Only changes I would make to the "Franks":-side mirrors stalks need to be slimmer. Rear tail lights need to be round but have to be two per side. Rear exhaust outlet needs to be round matching the tail lights otherwise you are encroaching on Lamborghini's / Honda design language. For me that's more Ferrari for a Ferrari. Thanks Frank

I like the new rear, but I like the black rocker panel better, it keeps the body slim and raked, plus it ties in the front splitter to the back diffuser. Smoothed in, it looks undefined and a bit thick. I like the mirrors as is also, I think they are a cool design element and should be featured. I'd try a lower window line that extends way back into the buttress, making it even more like a canopy. I think the angular window line matches the rear engine cutout shape. I think smoothing them out makes the car too smooth looking and it loses the nice angular lines. I think the wheels look a bit on the delicate side, like they would twist if given too much power, if the spokes were a bit thicker, I think they would look better.

I wonder how much would it cost to get it done? This is the 2nd ferrari launched in a row that I don't have interest in. 1st SF90, 2nd 296 GTB. But... With these small changes (some would say insignificant) I would have it in a heart beat! Great work, thank you KZbin for giving us all the opportunity to have someone like this talking to us.

Great review; I like the changes (for the most part) that you made. However, giving the Honda E Concept a score of 10 is absurd. It is a boring, drab, vapid awful "design." Honda has not made a car with a good exterior design in 30 years. The original (and even the 2nd generation ) Honda CRX's were excellent, well thought out designs.

The car was pretty cool but after your adjustments it became way more interesting and more exotic!! Thank you for the rendering !

Amazing video sir, really appreciated the new render segment. The side door area reworking was inspired - so subtle but shows how clean lines make an incredible difference.

With the visualization of your changes it’s pure gold very entertaining this original ferrari design already seems dull thanks for ur effort

I would get rid of the foot of the rearview mirror entirely. It doesn't feel right planted on the door. It should come from the junction of the A pilar and the belt line, just like they did with the Roma, this would make the surface of the door much more smoother while avoiding turbulence going into that beautifull air intake.

Very good job! The only thing missing for me are the headlights: I was really waiting for you to redesign them totally. It will be cool to put high resolution links in description to enjoy even more the work. Also letting the viewers making their own redesign, and you reviewing it almost like the concept car we are already making on this channel.
