Where do you get your string spools for hanging the cucumbers, peppers, and tomatoes?

Do you not lower and lean your cucumbers? It looks like you just let them do their thing once the reach the top of spool?

I never tried lean and lower on cucumbers. We just grow them up to the top wire and then back down. Seems after that the plants are about done producing. but I am going to ask about leaning them. Thank you for suggesting!

Do you mulch the old plants or just feed them to the animals?

The cucumbers we mulch. When we had hogs they ate alot of the plants but mostly just compost.

Yes, I do! I grow everything outside I can't in the greenhouse.

Soap and water and then a rinse with light solution of bleach water.

How do you avoid green algaes on the bucket surface ? I face to this issue with perlite...

They do make covers for the Bato buckets, and they do work but the last few years i have not used. I make sure the stakes go down into the perlite, so the top does not get wet, and it seems to help.
