He wouldn't be tapping lol
@TheRadiastral5 жыл бұрын
@@berserkr81 "Not with MMA gloves on" .. Ummm I would argue with that. Padding or not, you're still pushing a lot of force into that fist. That padding will be pressing on the guys neck with the same force, just mildly spread throughout the material, where it's touching. Padding does one main thing - it slows down punches, or should I say, it drastically reduces the impact forces of a punch, the deceleration is much lower, when you land. But when you just press continuously into something? Not much reduction here to speak of - that padding presses on the neck with full weight, just spread on the surface of the glove. I'd say it's still enough to cause a black-out within a few seconds, if you press the right area of the neck like that.
@jack-o_lantern5 жыл бұрын
berserkr81 no it wouldn’t. There have been a handful of Ezekiel chokes successfully done in the UFC with gloves on. Both chokes use a fist on the neck for one of the arteries. It doesn’t take much force to close the arteries enough for a successful submission. Certainly the padding in a 4 oz glove would not be any issue whatsoever. The only difficulty might be the width of the gloves.

I don't know that it was called this but I do this choke from top mount. Solder right arm goes around the head around back of the neck and the left fist goes into his right artery can I grab it with my right arm the squeezing so I have a right bicep from one side of his carotid artery and my left fist on his right side while putting pressure down with my chest head and squeezing both arms from the top mount. I just did this for my own did not know has the name.
@biotouchofficial4 жыл бұрын
I think this can still be countered by the von flue choke. So you still can't let them pass to get side control. This technique is only useful in the mount position, in my opinion. It's not that people don't know it. Irs just not known by that name. It's more commonly called the punch choke like everyone says. Come on, Keenan. You know you don't still hold onto the neck still when they've passed. Any jujitsu practitioner knows that. You can fool these KZbinrs but not real jujitsu guys. You're legit Keenan, but not on this one .

We often did it straight from top cross side wrapping arm underneath and around head and sneaking that fist in there for the diesel finish.
