Thank you for sharing your story. There are so many aspects of your story that resonate with me, the perfectionism, striving for God's favor and blessings, and never feeling like I could do enough to earn it. God was pursuing me all along though and led me right into His grace! I left the Mormon church 3 years ago. It's been a difficult journey letting go of a false belief system but so worth it to discover who Jesus really is! Jesus is enough and His grace is sufficient! ✝️🙏♥️

What a beautiful comment! Thank you so much for sharing ❤ I left a secret sect called “The Two By Twos” back in 2020, and was found by Jesus! It’s been a difficult journey but I know and trust in the sufficiency of the precious blood of Jesus 😍✝️🙏

What a beautiful story you have shared. Thank you for doing so. I too am in a place of deconstruction and reconstruction of my faith. A lot of what you shared I will use in my journey.

As I have been on this grueling deconstruction of growing up Mormon, but discovering Church history that I want NO part of. I am putting together my resignation letter, after 13 years of digging, and coming to the realization, that the Mormon abyss is dirty, and the Jesus of the LDS Church is NOT the Jesus of the Bible! I need and want a place to stand, that feels firm and secure. Where lies and betrayal are far away! - I bumped into this video and hope for direction how to walk away, and find truth.

Hallelujah praise God! Loved your testimony. Thanks be to God for his mercy and grace. One of my favorite verses is 1 Timothy 1:12-17 Especially vs 15-16 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am the worst. But for that reason I was shown mercy so that in me the worst of sinners Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.

SOrry this .. .makes me so AnGRY at the LDS leaders!!! the New thing in the LDS church is "you don't have to be perfect" but its too late... everything screamed perfection!! we had to be worthy & clean to pass the sacrament, worthy & cleanto use the priesthood, worthy and clean to enter the temple. Worthy & clean WORHTY & CLEAN!!! WHenever you SIN you have to cofess to the Bishop and repent as soon a possible and "forsake the sin" meaning you CANNOT sin AGAIN or it all comes back !

This struggle with striving to be enough or perfect to be accepted by God is common even among saved people. The root of it can be from childhood trauma due to poor parenting causing children to believe lies about their true worth. These lies can be unlearned by knowing God’s unconditional love for us. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. We have inherent worth that can not be earned, increased or lost.

Wonderful! Jesus is enough! 🙏❤️ I find it very interesting how similar Mormonism is to the secretive sect I was born and raised! It’s all the same legalism and performance based control. Praise God that Jesus saved my soul with his precious blood!😍🙏✝️ Romans 3 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Both are fairy stories! We r told fairy stories as young children to help our brains develop. We love to believe in magic to escape reality As adults our brains still crave magic and escapism. Jesus story is a magical story so we can deal with reality or keep on escaping!

Except there is historical evidence that Jesus of Nazareth actually existed, was crucified, and resurrected. There is evidence that the main figures in the Bible actually existed. There is no evidence in any shape or form of the Book of Mormon.

You are taught over and over again that all the evidence you need is a witness or two and a testimony to cling to.

@@sammiller4321 it means that works no matter how hard you try to earn salvation is fruitless. Because it's only through grace through Jesus's sacrifice are we truley saved. Their is nothing man can do to save himself through works...

@@sammiller4321 Here are some Bible verses that relate to Jesus being enough: Colossians 1:15-20 Describes Jesus as the image of God, the firstborn of creation, and the one who holds all things together Colossians 3:23 Reminds us that God is the one who judges all we do, and that all service is for Him 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 Says that God's grace is sufficient, and that Christ's power is made perfect in weakness John 14:27 Offers certainty of the good, and says "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you" Other Bible verses that may be related to Jesus include: Romans 3:23, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Romans 8:38-39, Exodus 3:11-12a, and John 3:16.

It means that the law is no longer necessary for your personal salvation. What is that law? Anything that hearkens to a works-based theology falls under "the law." The Jews have the Law of Moses. Mormonism has the Law of Tithing, the Law of Chastity, the Law of Consecration, and the Law of the Gospel, the Word of Wisdom. Mormonism is a gospel of checklists. Did you: Read your Book of Mormon? Attend your meetings? Pay your tithing? Do your home teaching (old)/ministering/visiting teaching? Attend the temple? --do baptisms? --receive your endowment --get sealed to your spouse --attend monthly if you live in proximity to a temple Watch general conference? Keep the word of wisdom? Say yes to each and every calling you receive from your bishop? Serve a mission? Most Latter-day Saints do the above list because of a sense of cultural and ecclesiastical duty, not because they have a deep love of and relationship with Jesus. Most LDS rely on their works to save them in the Celestial Kingdom, not on Jesus. For the Christian, we recognize that we can only be saved through believing in Jesus and confessing Jesus as Savior--the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). That's why we, as Christians, say that Jesus is Enough. The Law of X is unnecessary.

I've seen and met christ (in out of body experiences) since I was around 7 years old. He told me to join the lds church. I guess each must take their journey wherever it leads. I hope it's positive. I think there is nothing that can be corrupted by moth and rust that we should put our trust in. I choose God and the personal spiritual experiences I have had. Though here's some other interesting reading material... (1) the nemenhah records (released by the native Americans) (2) the birch bark scrolls (undergoing translation, see chief Midegah and the ojibwe nation) (3) acts 29 (4) the Ethiopian bible (5) the book of Melchizadek (from the dead sea scrolls) (6) the silk road gospel (from china) (7) the ANG AKLATAN RECORDS (found in the Philippines) Happy reading. But remember, trust God more than earthly men and materials
