I'm 61. I've been doing hanging leg lifts mixed in with my pullups. I just discovered a couple of days ago I can do L-sits on the floor. It was an unintended bonus! I'm stoked!!

I particularly love your tip about controlling your breathing. The L-sit is actually one of the moves that I have mastered pretty well. I can hold it for 20 seconds or more no problem. But I’m working on the handstand now. And I find that I have not learned to control my breathing in the handstand at all yet. But I know it is definitely something that will help me in learning this new skill. Thanks again for the reminder to control my breathing. 😮💨🫁

Hey thanks for this i was looking at the L-sit, and struggled to find balance but after your explanation i found it immediately, and i had a pleasant surprise that i could do the tuck L-sit right away...BUT immediately i felt my triceps is lacking compared to my core as i couldn't hold it very long, just a few seconds..but still a nice surprise. I'll keep practicing while strenghtening my triceps with other exercises:) Heres a big like

What do we do if we struggle to lift our legs up? I kept trying a lot of various ways, including brings my knees to elevate from there but can't do it. It is due to lack of balance or too much weight?

I have been trying to learn the L sit for over a year now, nothing works i think i have wasted 60+ hours trying to learn it. I just cant have my back strait and my butt is sticking out, i am 6,4 feet tall can that maybe be a problem? Plis help i do want to this right and not waste anymore time, trying to learn this. I do want to learn this so bad but nothing works…. Plis help😢
@VitalityFitnessScience2 жыл бұрын
Hey man, dont worry 60+ hours seems much but for some moves its normal. While other people learned e.g. muscle up in 1 month I needed e.g. 3. And much more work. The key: DONT give up, cuz if u do, you REALLY lose 60+ hours of your life. To the L sit himself: take parallettes and train only with additional height. Dont start with pushing off the ground, that wont work if ur body ratio doesnt allow it. Tuck ur legs on books/parallettes etc and straighten and reduce height step by step and it will function. Good luck!
