My Dad suffered from dementia towards the end of his life, but watching your channel was one of the things he could still enjoy because it was so calming and your food so beautiful. Even though he would ask things like “Do I like fish?” or “Do I like tomatoes?” he would comment that your food looked so good and it made him hungry. He passed away last December and when this video came up in my feed I jumped right in to watch, and it brought back the memories of spending time with Dad doing one of the few things he was still able to enjoy. Thank you so much.

@@kittyfarkas it is true, between 1947-1989 no religion of any sort was allowed, you had to practice it in silence. All the religious buildings in the cities were either hidden behind big ugly constructions, moved or demolished. We lost a lot of cultural and spiritual heritage in that period. I am lucky to have lived in that period and in this one too, so I know and appreciate what freedom really means.

I’m a Christian and these Shabbat prep videos are so fascinating and wonderful. All I want to do is pray and cook for my family and be thankful when I watch these. Ha ha ha. I wish there were more channels to see how different families prep for their Shabbat. We have lost our day of rest in the West. As a family we try to adhere to it but often my husband must work on our rest day. And it’s so hard as I’m from a different country where people rest on Sundays (which is when a lot of Christian denominations practise day of rest- but not all). I love the orthodox Jewish commitment and love you put into your families and food.

My first job was as an au pair to a Jewish family. Even though it was 6 decades ago, it was an unforgettable experience. I learnt so much and was honoured to be included in many rituals of which I, as 17 year old girl, had no knowledge. Being part of the Passover dinner was special, I will forever remember that family with respect and love for their kind instructions and wonderful, sacred traditions. Blessings from Australia.

I'm in the hospital because I became extremely dehydrated, nauseated & vomiting. I had knee surgery a month ago and when my son came to pick me up to go grocery shopping, I fell and wasn't responding like I usually do. He wisely overrode any objections from me and took me to the hospital. He stayed until they were taking me to my room, he had to go to work in the morning so he had to walk his dog , feed her, feed himself and get to bed. . All in all 8 hours from time he found me to when I finally got up to the hospital room. The ER was packed. If I'd been well , taking me grocery shopping would've taken me less than an hour, especially since I have home to get things off the shelves and I don't have to get off the electric cart. I had knee replacement surgery a month ago & I'm not up to pushing a cart around Walmart yet

Sara, thank you so much for sharing these beutiful Jewish customs. As a Christian, I am well aware and honour the Jewish ancestors who set the foundations of my faith. I remember and honour that Jesus was raised by a beutiful Jewish woman and her Jewish husband. I found it so calming and the actions taken were so precise and ornate to aid in fostering your beutiful family to follow their path as God's first chosen people. May God bless you, your family and Israel, and may you continue to bless us with the knowledge of the Jewish faith and wonderful actions taken as a follower. שה' יברך את כולנו. ❤✡✝🙏

Leah is so talented with scaping the table. And she's old enough to help in the cooking prep. She seems like a wonderful person

I love making your recipes for Sunday dinner here. I’ve been ill for a while, and when I saw you had a new video, I was so excited! I watched your house refresh videos while I was in the hospital, and it helped me to plan how to refresh my house when I got back on my feet. I always pray for you and your family, that God keeps you safe.

I love cozy cooking! And I have missed you!! Leah has gone from a little girl "helper" to a true assistant. She is on her way :) My favorite part is that you are back and that you show the men have a role too. And the recipes. Oh, they are good!

@frumitup I watched a film called "In search of Israeli cuisine" and there was a Jewish woman married to a Muslim man. The lady was talking about how her family came from Morocco and they had lots of love between Jewish and Arab neighbors. It was really good to hear and gave me a feeling of hope for the future. Thank you for your beautiful video, Sara. ❤ You inspire me to try and welcome the Sabbath. As a Christian, I am supposed to keep it holy, but I've been so terrible at really reverencing and celebrating the Sabbath. You make me want to truly celebrate the holy day. Your children are delightful 😊 Leah's table was gorgeous and I really wanted one of those ice cream bars! 😊

I love cozy cooking! Dear sweet Sara, it was such a blessing to see you post a beautiful video of sabbath prep and cooking. And the bonus of seeing each family member helping and participating in the prep. Leah is becoming so capable she is now a full help to you. I see why you are so proud of her and all three of your children. seeing how she prepares the desserts it shows how good she is getting at that and table design too. And your sweet thoughtful husband too. I hope you had a wonderful Shabbat and may Hashem bless your whole week.
