Ftt engine test on June 26, 2011

One of the many tests we did in 2011.
This one is of Jun 26th
Specification:
- Ftt Kreidler engine 90cc
- 5 speed (special)
- UitraSap Ignition
- 30hp at 14.500 rpm
- Prostock Record holder 6.62 sec at 150m 128km/h
- Topspeed at 1000m distance 200km/h
Profile:
I started racing in 1964. Computers were still not there. I did hardly no calculation. With the advent of the computer everything has changed and complicated calculations are no problem any more. All old historical notes were struggling. In the past 15 years I got a number of programs. Beside I did developed many programs myself in Excel. It was my profession to do so for my employer for many years.
In 2003 also began making calculations for third parties. Not everything, but a lot can be calculated very accurately for any twostroke engine. For instance the exhaustpipe can be calculated in almost exactly the correct speed for which the setup and cylinder is optimal. Even by a large kart engines manufacturer (TM) was found to be not entirely correct. With a new calculated combustion chamber and exhaustpipe it was far better then before.
This is also partly due to the information I got from Jan Thiel and was freely available after retiring from Aprilia racing end 2007.
Also the UltraSap ignition developed by my son Raimond was a very important part. The combustion and power are strongly influenced. Read about this subject my note on Facebook

Dat het niet gaat is ook niet waar, want het Kreidler record van 210 km/h op de zoutvlakte in 1965 werd gereden met drukvulling, Een drukvulling via een turbo kan ook want het laatste record van Buddfab met 233km/h in 2008 is met een turbo gereden. Op zich een begrijpelijke keuze om dat de buitendruk op die hoogte veel minder is. Het zou mijn keuze niet zijn omdat lachgas vele malen effectiever is en ook nog eens beter regelbaar is.

Ik geloof niet in het gebruik van een turbo op een 2-takt. Als je echt meer wilt, kun je het beste overstappen op lachgas.

De Kreidler klinkt erg goed

Ja inderdaad probleemloos, ook niet extreem afstelling gevoelig. Het ligt aan een goed berekende basis, alles moet goed op elkaar afgestemd zijn. Zodra dat niet het geval is, dat kun je in de afstelling zoeken wat je wilt, maar dan kom je er nooit uit.

wat n machine. hoeveel pk s heeft die?

Een turbo gaat zoiezo niet werken op een 2 takt met carburateur. Kan je idd beter overstappen naar lachgas oid.
