You asked if we like your voiceover with the video or live audio. I like your voiceover because you can give commentary on technique AND you don't take yourself too seriously. You make a little fun of yourself and it adds to the fun of your workouts. Your channel is helping me become stronger and more flexible after a lot of years of either not using my body or just trying to punish it back into shape. Thank you to both of you!
@susanmaclaren7189 Жыл бұрын
This is me replying to my own comment (ha!). Women: do not be afraid of these workouts. They guide you into increasing your range of motion and flexibility in a way that makes sense. I haven't done a lot of the strength-building workouts - although I've done some - look for the beginner tags and those are easy to follow along with.

@yon shaish Hi Yon I've struggled to lose weight since turning 50. Im almost 60 now. It used to be I eat less, I lose weight. After 50 I eat less... weight stays the same. Eat normal and I gain. I've gone to gym untill 57, but often favoured cardio. Ive never been strong or energetic, just an average guy and struggled with fat around my middle...what they now call skinny-fat now. And in my forties I overeated a lot, but that's been under control for a long time. Last two years ive been doing keto, but plateaud after about two months. So after 57 I didnt exercise untill last November. I started again, but at home. I used baseline steroids which helped me to get strong at least, and gained a bit of muscle. When I started I couldn't do one proper sit up. I've kept the weight and bodyweight training up till May flue got me. At the moment im doing a 100 pushups a day...3 sets of 12, 3 times a day, but thats all. Also in the last month I've started to carb cycle and that seems to work...lost a few pounds around the hips. To answer your question I seldom have the motivation to exercise. When I eventually do its okay. Lack of results play a part in motivation. The overload of contradictory info also doesnt help. In general I eat healthy foods. I like walking and if I'm in the routine I walk everyday. But once my routine is broken I take a long time to get back to it. Ok Yon, good luck on your journey

I've been looking for a method and routine to improve my strength in all of my body without gym equipment since gyms have been closed. I have decided to use this routine as I find it realistic for me to achieve. You are humble relaxed and sincere in your presentation which i find comforting and reassuring. Finally, something attainable! Well, after several days off stretching my wrists, anyway. I really appreciate the low level of coordination required to do this. The other beginner workouts I've been looking at have such complicated motions and are hard to execute when you lack a basic level of strength/flexibility. Thank you for building blocks! My only recommendation is to throw in one example of the bad movement into the set (or during a demo of one good/one bad) that you're talking about in the voiceover, so I can check for it in the mirror.

Never thought getting up from laying down on the floor could be so challenging. New low for me. Haha! 🤦♀️🤷♀️ But in all seriousness this is a really helpful beginners video. Feels challenging without feeling impossible. Thanks👍

I'm recovering from long term under-eating (anorexia and severe anxiety, fun) and its so hard to find strength workouts that don't burn calories or "melt fat". My muscles are nearly atrophied and I struggle to even reach 1200 calories a day, finding your channel has been changing. I'm on day 3 but I can already feel my joints staying in place and not just being in constant pain. Thank you.

As far as anxiety goes, obviously there are professionals. Though I had severe anxiety for most of my early life. If you want to try and face it, slow exposure therapy may work. When I was 18, I couldn't even walk into a grocery store. After years of slow exposure, I've cut down on maybe 90% of it, I was a wreck. As far as anorexia; assuming it may be sourced from body image issues. The least I could recommend is removing yourself from social media like FB and such. Perhaps you could also look at including more saturated and Omega 3 into the diet? It has the potential to greatly improve your mood and body chemistry. And perhaps trying to achieve fewer meals with greater caloric value? Focus less on calorie count and more on peace of mind and a meal that feels right. Just some thoughts 👍

Thanks man - this is awesome! It's hard to find good at-home workout routines that don't involve buying a ton of equipment. Following your channel here and over on Insta too, buddy!

I always thought dieting is expensive and 'healthy' food costs a lot. Little did I know. I got my diet plan from NextLevelDiet and I was able to select foods that fit my budget.

I expect I'm not your average viewer. 54 year old woman with 30 lb to lose. Used to be a runner and maybe one day will get there again but just want to get healthy at this point. Upper and lower back issues so a big focus for me is flexibility with the strength training. Glad I found you. Now hope I can stay motivated and continue.

Hey man, love the content. I had a few questions regarding your roadmap to abs routine. I am interested in purchasing it. I was curious as to what equipment I would need. Let me know so I can move forward with your program brother!

I haven't worked out in years and have started using this routine to get back into things. Thank you so much, I feel great, and I'm keen to keep challenging myself with your videos. I truly appreciate what you're doing dude.. you're helping other people who are struggling with this sort of stuff. ❤️

I just finished this workout for the 5th day in a row... using your warm up stretching videos before hand... already improving heaps. The last time I worked out 5 days in a row? Would be over a decade ago easily. You're gonna help change my life man.

Your videos are helping me so much. I’m very out of shape and was diagnosed with POTS after contracting Covid-19. Working out is a struggle and these ground based exercises REALLY HELP. Thank you. ❤️

Im 16 about a year ago I was so advanced I was doing muscle ups, handstand holds and l-sits(those kind of exercises) Then I decided to stop working out because I got lazy Now I can barely do 30 pushups and I got a bit of a belly now Its not that bad but I know I havent reached my full potential yet so ill keep going Quote I live by: In a months time you'll either have a months worth of progress or a months worth of excuses

This is a really great video. I have multiple sclerosis and a lot of the "beginner" videos are impossible for me. Yours had a couple I couldn't do. Especially the last one, but for the most part while extremely challenging I was able to do them. I'm going to try my best to make this workout a daily routine with the end goal of performing the last exercise. Thanks for this video.

Great video 👍🏻 I had a hernia operation a few months ago and this has been one of the most approachable work out videos to get my core strength back. Thanks a lot! And yeah the voiceover is a nice touch as it makes the work out more calming in my opinion.

Wow! I just discovered your channel and this is literally the first time I've actually felt like "joining in". I used to be super athletic... from the age of three until the age of 20. I'm now 60 and, honestly, have been pretty sedentary (apart from the few odd years here and there of pilates and lots of dancing) since. I can feel my strength waning dramatically, my range of motion points to serious "oxidation" , I have arthritis, not to mention a number of not-negligible mental health issues, etc. etc. This is the first time I've felt a number of muscles "work" in a long time. So thank you for making it pleasurable, gentle and, as to your question about the voice-over. Keep it!!! As someone who only owns a small 13-inch laptop and wears glasses, it's not always easy for me to see properly what's going on on-screen. Your detailed follow-along wording is PERFECT for people like me! Your entire presentation is lovely, lovely, lovely for HSP's. I'll be back! 🤗

Hi guys, wanna say that your content is awesome. Been suffering with some left shoulder issues and pain aswell as some lower back and knees and after a friend got me onto your channel I've been feeling great. Still a beginner by any means, only worked through a few videos and stretches but it's helped me massively! Keep it coming fellas! 🤘🤙
