Would also love you to talk about the mental development side which a lot of players tend to not factor in, here are some examples I was thinking of: - Approach & expectations going into workouts away from team practice. - Understanding pacing and peaking at the right time when it comes to working out during the season. - How to avoid frustration from not seeing results, right away. I think you covered most of these topics last year but it would be nice to have a refresher…maybe some extra points you’ve picked up within the year.

This is helpful. I’ve found stationary stuff never worked for me

Well, I can’t say the same for my 2nd grader, he does stationary drills at home with the silent ball. I can tell his handles are much better than last year. He’s also doing great in Practices with 3rd & 4th graders. Using what he’s practicing on them. I guess it’s not for everyone though.

@@ibreak4pie990 he's in second grade. Almost anything you do with him he will improve, but just because it is working now doesn't mean it will work when he gets older, past a certain point there will be a plateau with stationary ball handling

Any ideas for drills to play low?

Do things where you get low, I also think playing low is overrated, not too often you get “low”

@@tjltrainingi think every athelte should perform straight up with locked knees. its like saying "dead lifting has no place in sports because no one does that weighted movement when playing😂😂😂😂😂

solid advice, but will "they" get off their phone to do it?🤔 😂

I’m sure with Screen time limits they will. Earn more minutes by doing more drills… 🤔

Maybe encourage using phone as a tool to learn the drills as well? Definitely time limits and drills and outside time earn some more screen time
