Have you done the course or actually tried any FP training? FP cured my lower back pain, chronic weakness and fatigue, pelvic floor dysfunction, frozen shoulder… improved alignment, strength, pain levels in literally every joint in my body and improved my overall performance and health in a way that nothing else has. And I’ve tried a lot of stuff. Look at the results. That’s what sets FP apart. The course is legit and it’s not an empty promise. Try it for yourself before you come to conclusions.

When a radical new technology emerges that solves problems that a multi-trillion dollar, deeply entrenched, painfully inefficient medical system can’t even seem to scratch the surface of, that technology goes through several phases: 1. Ignored 2. Ridiculed and humiliated as it starts to draw a semblance of attention to it. 3. Hardcore skepticism by minor industry leaders as it begins to threaten the status quo. 4. Growth and proof of concept drawing in higher quality and more serious practitioners with better results making it harder for people to criticize who understand what’s going on. This is a little bit of an echo chamber phase where you see a bunch of people making positive comments here, and it almost seems scripted. The reality though, is that what you are seeing is people who understand what’s going on, and people who don’t have enough experience with the technology to understand it, so they are naturally skeptical. This is the longest and possibly most painful phase before the final phase of critical mass which will take place sometime this decade when the conclusions that this paradigm arrives at will be impossible to ignore. Just the two cents of an FP practitioner who was curious but skeptical a few short years ago, but has finally grasped the gravity of this technology.

Functional Patterns changed my life. Had an accident which caused serious damage to my movement. Actually, I did well and was playing sports a year after my accident, but then started to deteriorate to the point I couldn't run at all or do any lifting of any kind without being bedbound the next day - even basic tasks. Not much help from doctors and physical therapy. FP showed me what was happening and I actually understood a PHILOSOPHY of human movement that brought everything together. For the first time I started intuitively learning ON MY OWN between sessions, like my nervous system was connecting to my body for the first time in years. Can't say enough good about Naudi's work... even if he's a bit pompous sometimes :)

My question. How fanatical or “functional “ do you need to be? If you’re a trainer, professional athlete, or physical therapist, perfect! But in all honesty for 90%+ of the population. Stimulate, don’t obliterate your muscles. It’s that simple.
@MitigateStress4 жыл бұрын
What a pointless comment, the entire population has been degraded through modern shoes, backpacks, sedentary lifestyles, vehicles. Posture could be the most essential aspect of health and fitness. Systemic hydration on a cellular level, living pain free, reduced inflammation, longevity, performance, Lymphatic drainage, circulation, calcification, motor pathways that respect gait and human biomechanics. Movements that have full body integration without being stuck in the saggital plane and vertical force vectors. Being able to walk, run, throw and stand efficiently and properly is the most influential aspect of health. It’s hard to grasp at first, but once you study it and apply it. You can see and feel it for yourself. This is something everyone needs. Not everyone needs to deadlift, but everyone needs to learn how to stand, walk and possibly run. Not to mention the impact that gait has on neuromuscular and brain disorders. It’s quite fascinating actually.

Also, why are you on here as the CEO and founder of your company being flippant in the comments? It's great to see your program helping people with pain and posture, but the idea that FP should completely replace more traditional methods of strength training--like it's some sort of panacea--is ridiculous. Attacking other disciplines in favor of a singular approach to fitness soley based on gait is also ridiculous. I admire Ben Patrick and the ATG program. I don't admire you

Good methods to go from bad to average and then experience a lifelong plateau. It’s essentially a replacement of bad patterns with average patterns. But spend even 10 years doing this method, then go to a ballet class and you will discover that you can’t do anything, and all the patterns you learned and thought were so great, are now blocking you and must be unlearned, but by that point you’ll have so much belief that you’re right (because this is dogma) that you won’t be able to let go and you’ll be stuck at average. Functional patterns is a dogmatic system of principles that incorrectly defines what is ‘correct’. While their version of correct is far better than mainstream, it’s extremely narrow and flawed.

Would a university education that costs most hundreds of thousands of dollars be more sufficient? I know it teaches less than my course, so I'm not sure how exactly this price is in any way unfair. You get 1000s of times better info, lose less time and actually get a good base understanding of how to see your problems. Keep in mind I have a staff to maintain and innovations to put forth. What does it mean to be functional? It's easy. You can do deadlift with 100kg, 150kg, but if you have to give this weight to someone at the level of your head, how do you do that? which you can control up there. so the weight you can lift from the dead lift position you have to be able to lift to head level, that means to be functional.
