1:01 and 2:15 follow the same pattern of the first syllables barely having any instrumentals, and then a sudden surge of instrumentals and background vocals for the next words come in right after. The last syllables are emphasized with abrupt pauses in between which I absolutely love. That's such an interesting thing to do. It's a simple concept, but it's so emotive and powerful. But _god_ when I say that 3:15 is on a whole other level. The vocals alone are so haunting, but along with the way the instrumentals were used and the visual aids, it's downright _painful._ Edit: OH AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE LYRICS

By "DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE LYRICS," I was probably talking more about how they were worded and what they implied. So yeah, idk the meaning of the lyrics either. I just thought that, while reading the lyrics as they appear, they're worded very poignantly and there's definitely a story underneath. MY THEORY: the dark-haired girl was jealous towards the white-haired girl (possibly her twin or creator) and wanted her to disappear so that she would be the only one left, so she cursed herself to have the ability to be stronger than the white-haired girl and began using the dark magic to kill her. During the scene used for the thumbnail, you can clearly see hands around the white-haired girl's throat, although she looks oddly calm at the fact that her sister or creation is destroying her. Either way, once she has died, the dark-haired girl realizes that she's now all alone, but instead of being sad, she smiles. The dark, miasmic hands that kill off the white-haired girl were even seen earlier in the MV when the lyrics talk about "gentle words" that they knew were a lie. Perhaps the white-haired girl had foreseen this happening
