Well SOMEBODY needed to shout at that undead dragon, right? And well, in the finale he does have a role to play if you look at the leaks, but it has NOTHING to do with the Lord of Light unless they would have an amazing plottwist that's far beyond their capabillities. SPOILER OF THE LEAKS!!!!! Jon will stab Daenerys in the heart with dragon glass and will go back to the wall to rebuild the Night's watch. Why dragon glass, and why rebuild the Nigh's watch now that the Night King is dead and the wildlings are nice? Only makes sense if the dragonglass in Dany's heart will turn her in a Night Queen and Drogon brings her north. Then Jon needs to rebuild the Nigh's Watch to protect the realm of men against the monster who he created and who he loves; his mad auntie-fuckbuddy who now can raise the dead.

There was a time, probably around season 4 where I thought the ultimate showdown between the living and the dead and everything that surrounds them, the political intrigue, the actual "game of thrones" will culminate into it being one of the four greatest TV series of all time, other three being The Sopranos, The Wire and Breaking Bad. As things stand though, this show can't even be called excellent anymore and with the unsatisfying resolution to the whitewalker storyline the series has pretty much lost its rewatchability.

Thanks for the video!! I've stumbled across r/Freefolk after episode 3 just when I was about to go Mad Queen myself. I know I had to find a way to deal with the shitty writing and what has become of my absolute favourite TV show. It felt so therapeutic scrolling through all the memes and seeing peoples reaction and it made me change my mind-set completely. There won't be a fantasy epic bigger than LoTR. LoTR isn't just a fantasy story, it's not just an epic fantasy story. It's a work of art with it's character development, dialogue and most importantly that which makes most art art, it has timeless interwoven parallels of the real world woven into the very fabric of its writing, taken from the highest selling piece of writing of all time. There isn't a bigger following of all time that than. There will never be a bigger fantasy story bigger than LoTR. It is THEE fantasy story all other stories try to emulate. Every single one including GoT, wishes is was LoTR. I know some of the general public are not capable of that level of education but that's reality.

GRRM said LOTR inspired him, and he reads it every couple of years. But LOTR was complete when the films were made. Unlike GoT the screenwriters didn't make up the last part of the story by themselves based on a rough outline of how it should end. (Even though i think that the LOTR screenwriting team could have come up with something more fitting than D&D).
